Woah woah woah. Who are you, and what did you do with Loffen?

haha j/k

Big game. Need a win to stay ahead of the pack. Montreal is playing its 3rd in 4 nights. Absolutely need to take advantage of that.

Big game! Wasn't a sweep on the scoreboard last night but they got some help so don't waste the opportunity. They have given the Habs enough points already this season time to grab a couple back from them. LGR!

Didn't realise we'd won 4 of our last 5, hasn't felt like that at all.

2 pts please.

I really want the Rangers to win this one. They are so overdue to win 3 straight games this year (this will be Hank's 11th attempt to do so this year).

Trivia: considering that he recorded an assist in 3 consecutive games, i wonder if he's the first goalie to have a season with a longer point streak than win streak!

Dont see us catching Habs for #6 seed but getting points in this 1 would be great. I'd be happy with a point, 2 would be gravy. We've had problems with Habs all season.

Just play physical & we'll win. the Habs defense is decimated ; let's take advantage of this. Auld will probably get the start . he's undefeated against the Rangers with a save % .965 & 0.97GA.

Not sure if this game is gonna be on NHL Network. I was watching nhlotf yesterday and the scroll said it would be. I went to set it up to record (I work nights) and it had the Devils game as being on. This morning I looked at the guide again, and the guide has the Rangers/Can game listed. We will see.

Here's my gameplan - Play with the mentality of getting a point, and you'll probably wind up with two.

Tonight should be all about defense, and siphoning off offensive chances from that.

This is the third game in 4 nights for Montreal, and they've been in a win-one-lose-one patch lately. They are playing their backup, and in the midst of a 7 game swing over 12 nights. Lot of hockey for them.

The Rangers should play solid defense, cut down on the over-pinching (i dont want to see McDonaugh at center ice when the Canadiens are coming 3 strong into the zone) and make sure the forwards are back to help. Still try and force the issue at the blue-line - dont fall back - but play more conservative.

Montreals speed gives the Rangers a problem. Work off of the transition game tonight, and try to take a tie or a lead into the third period. Montreal should tire out a bit with this being the 3rd game in 4 nights. Then turn it on. Get pucks to the net, keep the forecheck going to wear down their D, but PAY ATTENTION to DEFENSE AND STAYING OUT OF THE BOX.

The opportunities will be there, and Auld has been just an ordinary backup this year. He can stop the puck, but get in his grill and they'll be rebounds to be had.

Cant stress it enough. Gotta play this game like a road game and there will be 2 points waiting for us at the end. Play stupid and loose like the first period and a half against the Islanders and you can kiss very valuable points goodbye.

The main thing with Montreal is that they've been making it really hard for other teams to get pucks to the front of the net cleanly. You'll see at least 4 guys sitting in front of their goalie, so the Rangers have to figure out how to get them out of position. Auld isn't that great but when he doesn't have to move to make a save, then yeah he's hard to beat. Rangers gotta move the puck well enough to get the whole Habs team moving, and not make careless offensive zone turnovers that let the Habs break it out quickly the other way.

And if they're going to crash the net, pucks absolutely have to get through and not get blocked up high.

e: I hope Dubinsky and Subaan go

This is a non-HD MSG 2 game, right? HOW CAN A HOME GAME, THIS IMPORTANT, NOT BE ON IN HD? I hate ****ing Dolan & Co.

This thread isn't as epic as the Devils-Capitals GDT on the Devils board.

I is disappoint
