Hope Weber, Suter, Kostitsyn all put in their efforts so we can win over the Sabres, and get closer to a playoff spot.

I have a bad feeling about this one. Emotional high after beating the Bruins and the dead wings then playing against Buffalo a mediocre team who we dont see much. Seems like a trap.. Sabres will be hungry as well.

I second your concern, shootthepuck. We SUCK in these trap games. I hope Trotz lied to the boys and told them they're playing Vancouver tonight, or Detroit again... In fact, is there any way we can get the Slugs to wear Detroit uniforms?

Have to stick to the game. Skate hard, stay in their faces on the forecheck, be disciplined, try to take advantage on the PP ( ), hope Miller isn't fantastic tonight.

Does anyone know for sure if it's Pekka or Andy?

Just wanted to check in on your boards to see what was going on for this game. I'm in Vegas right now and thinking about sticking some money on the preds. They are the underdog in this game and I'm not sure why. Am I missing something?

Ugh, it feels like we always play sluggish after a good hard win over the wings. Here's to playing like we did last night, and Buffalo not playing like they did last night.

I wouldn't even call this a trap game. I think the team knows how important it is I think we just have lots of factors going against us. The team lost an hour going to Buffalo. There isn't but 16 hours between the end of last nights game and this one. Account for all the time it took to get out the arena, get to the airport, getting stuff on plane, flying, getting off of plane and getting to hotel. Yeah, Buffalo played last night but they were sleeping in their own beds afterwards. Also, our game was an emotional hard fought battle. The only emotion Buffalo had last night was happiness in running up the score against Atlanta. The legs are surely going to be tired today. We need some other people to step up today. I'm looking at you Mr. Fisher it would be nice if you could pot 1 or 2 today.

Plane landed in Buffalo at 1:38 AM EST this morning. No morning skate, but they had to wake up for a pregame meal. Probably a brief team meeting and more sleep before getting ready to leave for the arena.

No excuses. This is a one and done trip. Time to sleep tomorrow.

Key is going to be playing with a lead. It's gonna be difficult to play from behind today. Lindback's gotta provide the team with little to no drop off from Rinne. Defense has got to be a team priority and the bottom line is when opportunity knocks...ANSWER THE DOOR!!!

Gotta captialize on our opportunities today. Look for either a great start or a horrid one. I don't think there's much middle ground on a day like today...

I don't see how this can be called a trap game. A lot of factors make it a tougher one to win. Their ice, we played and flew in the same night, an earlier game in the day. And looking at the betting sites, the bettors have Buffalo as the favorite. A trap game would be if we are the favorites and take them too lightly. I doubt over-confidence by our team will play any part if they lose this one.

I hope we bring the heat! But, the legs will be tired, I hope we get the bounces. We really need any win we or point we can claw. Go Preds!

Feels OK that Lindback is starting. A good game to give Rinne a rest, with the next three in one week at home all with only one day rest in between them. And if they do lose, the team can still feel good about having Rinne back next game. If they win, a little bonus with Lindback in net.

tuesday is a trap game. this is not. buffalo is vary good hockey club playing some real good hockey right now, ask atlanta. unless something changed, this is a battle of 2 #8 seeds fighting for their playoff lives.

Two teams wearing blue and yellow with 2 of the best coaches in the league, im more excited than most afternoon games vs eastern teams.

I do find both teams eerily similar in some ways.

Going to hop on to the Preds-train, since the Thrashers are pretty much done. Always been my 2. favorite (because of the whole system and good goaltending) and have also seen the only live NHL-game there in Nashville when there was like seven fights against Chicago.

Good luck guys.

Geoffrion, Wilson, Dumont. Interesting choices for this game's "low minute line".

Fisher, Hornqvist, Kostitsyn. No playmakers for Kostitsyn. Hope Trotz is right.
