A youtube of Dubinsky and Sauer clearing the crease on that late powerplay would be appreciated. That was an awesome sight.

LOL. That's Pierre Maguire for you.

I haven't seen a ranger dman with that type of mean streak in a while. Kloucek comess to mind, but he was in the mold of a big time open ice hitter. Beuk before him. Sauer is plain nasty in front of the crease and always looking to protect Hank.

I defintely agree with the idea that Girardi is just trying too hard when Staal is out, especially to do too much. The first goal, he was trying to shadow kovalev to block an outlet pass and probably thought Eminger may switch sides with him, but he probably didn't vocalize that and Eminger was in proper position, by switching sides Girardi opened up the ice for a cross ice pass to Jordan.

The Shortie, he went to the bench before the puck was in the zone and he was in the clear, got caught in no mans land. That one I can't kill him as much as the first one, but for a player who knows his limited ability as a skater, he has to work on his positional play when our guys are dumping or attempting to get the puck in the opponents zone. His positional play his greatest strength when it comes to blocking shots, but pinching, changing, and cutting off passing plays... leaves a lot to be desired.

Ever since I stated in one of the previous GDTs that I no longer could see how the Rangers were going to make the playoffs, they've been winning like crazy! They gave me the raspberry and said "oh yeah?" and I'm ok with that!

Prospal was on the ice, but not involved in the scoring play at all, and unless McCabe's shot hit Dubinsky, the 2nd assist should be D-Step's. Of course, changing the scoring would put Dubi back at 49 points...
I need that assist for my fantasy team (Stepan's)!

Anyway:

POTG: Hank, but it could be the whole team

Good: The fight, the heart, the tenacity of this bunch.

Bad: The SH goal, and Girardi looking bad without Staal.

Redden: Matt Cooke and the Penguin slobberfest on NBC.

POTG: Ryan Callahan. The spark that lights the fuse.
The Good: The turn around between pages 17 & 18 of the GDT is pure comedy gold. On any given day nothing beats this board for good, cheap entertainment in my book.
The Bad: Redundant, but it's Cooke. I hope McDonagh freight trains that POS someday.

I was working and didn't get to see the game past 8 mins into the 1st. But I was wearing my white customized jersey that is now 4-0 while being worn, all games scoring 5+ goals. Plus, I'll be wearing it to the game at MSG on Tuesday.

Dubi bulldozed over Kovalev (I believe) and clashed with Talbot. Sauer knocked down Kunitz. Glorious.

POTG: I voted for Hank but I must admit that Callahan is impressing more and more. He is my favourite player on the Rangers. Didn`t he break his nose when he got the stick in his face ? And still he kept harassing Pittsburgs defense and goalie. What a player.

Good: Sauer , Anisimov and Dubinsky

Bad : Pens-fans are as quiet as a funeral. Are they spoiled ?

I can not see how Rangers not making the playoffs now. Should be able to get 94/95 points.

Where is Staal

Did I miss somethig saw the game without sound where is he? How awfull did our defense look without him, especially our star shut down dman Girardi. 40 shots to the Pens without crosby and malkin.

Sauer SUPLEXED Kunitz. That's the kind of crease defense I want to see for a full 60 minutes.

Can you please post how you can no longer see them winning the cup this year?

The Pens always rack up a good amount of shots. They said before the game that he was out with an "undisclosed injury".

POTG: Henrik
Good: Cally, Dubinsky
Bad: Girardi, Prospal, Zuccarello, Christensen
Redden: Cooke for being the dirtiest player in the league

So impressed with this team. They're such tireless workers. They stick up for each other. They don't quit when down a goal late in the third/faced with other adversity. Torts really knows how to win. And no matter what happens from here on out, I couldn't be happier with where this team is going in the future.

Yeah the Pens got a ton of shots because they were taking everything. Lots of low percentage shots on Lundqvist tonight, mixed with some good ones he had to make good saves on

Great ****ing win.

Mellon Arena was a house of horrors for this team. It looks like it's the exact opposite at the Consol Energy Center, 3-0 so far there. I'm starting to like that place.

Both Cally and Hank deserve POTG status. I thought that Anisimov, Gabby, Eminger and McDonagh were good. I thought Girardi looked lost at times, and Zucc did not play his best game. And the Redden goes to the biggest piece of scum in the league. See (Cooke,Matt)
