"Time for Flyers fans to appreciate Carter"

Philly.com article about Carter, and how important he is to this team.

http://www.philly.com/philly/sports/...te_Carter.html

Quote:
Carter leads the Flyers with seven game-winning goals this season, which was tied for sixth in the NHL heading into the weekend. He had quietly climbed into sixth in the NHL with 32 goals, and was among the league leaders in shots (281, fifth), faceoff percentage (20th, 54.7 percent), and plus-minus (15th, plus-23).
Not to mention tied for 3rd in even strength goals

He only scores in blowouts and always misses the net though.

Yeah people who think that don't make sense. (I know you are being sarcastic)

He has 8 "First goals", league leader has 11. So if anything, he creates blowouts

As I've said before, time and time again. People pick and choose the high and wide, the same backhand move, and the negative. It's really pathetic.

I agree, but he does do that backhand move everytime. It works, sometimes. He's been solid all year. People just expect too much i think.

His game is based around an absurd amount of natural talent. Wouldn't surprise me if he's never fully appreciated here.

You don't get to where he is by being lazy.

Huh? That's gonna be the best part.

Personally, I like him a lot. I always rib my buddies after he scores because they dislike him because he's "lazy".

The thing I like the best about Carter is he always gets random deflections and scrum goals out of nowhere.

If I did this right these are Carter's game winning goals and when they were scored.

Florida 3-2 2nd period (2 goal game)
Edmonton 4-1 1st period (2 goal game)
LA Kings 7-4 2nd period made the game 5-3 Philly
Minnesota 6-1 1st period
Carolina 8-1 1st period (had a hat trick)
Islanders 6-1 1st period (2 goal game)
Avalanche 4-2 scored 17:22 of the 3rd period (2 goal game)

Not exactly top flight teams and personally only consider the Avs game as a true game winner. And before anyone asks I really feel a goal scored in the 1st period isn't exactly a "game winner" ----no matter who scored the goal.

if carter scored the goal in overtime in game 7 of the scf people would still find a way to call him lazy, unemotional or whatever.

he's the number one most under appreciated flyer, second being boucher imo.
