Six 20 goal scorers?

Dubinksy, Callahan, Gaborik, and Boyle have already done it. Hopefully Stepan (19 goals) and Anisimov (18 goals) can too. How many other teams in the league have six 20 goal scorers?

The thing is we have no 30 goal scorers.

The thing is Gaborik would easily have 30+ if he played all 82 games. Callahan would probably have 30 or so as well if he too played all 82 games.

Sucks, because had Gaborik/Cally stayed healthy, they almost would be guaranteed to hit 30

Callahan and Gaborik would have flirted with 30 if they didn't have injury problems. I did a quick check and I don't think there is another team in the league who has, or may end up with six 20 goal scorers. However, some teams like the Flyers have more guys in the 15-20 goal range. Nonetheless, I think that would be pretty damn impressive if we end up being the only team in the league with six 20 goal scorers.

That's true, but on the flip side of the "what if's" we don't know if Boyle can repeat this years performance, or if Steps will go through a sophomore slump.

San Jose is basically a lock, Thornton only needs one goal to become their 6th 20 goal scorer.

Code:
	Player Pos GP	G A P
1	Patrick Marleau L 73 29 30 59
2	Logan Couture C 70 27 21 48
3	Dany Heatley R 71 24 34 58
4	Ryane Clowe L 69 23 32 55
5	Devin Setoguchi R 64 20 14 34
6	Joe Thornton C 71 19 42 61

SJ will get 6, Philly has 5 right now and may get 6, could get as many as 8 if the right players get hot.

Its good, but I feel like we can still get a little more O out of this club with, say, a healthy Gaborik and a top line cente.r

For all the *****ing about the lack of scoring and skill on this team, they still manage to be 10th in the NHL in GFG and 13th in PP%.

Our PP has been MUCH better recently. It was in the 20's earlier, I believe.

The problem with our offense was for that one really bad losing slump we couldn't score a goal to save our lives. You throw in some wins there and the fanbase feels much better and we're in 6th in the east.

Other teams may have 6 twenty-goal scorers as well, but if Stepan pots 20, I'm betting the Rangers will be only team having 6 twenty-goal scorers playing on four different lines.

I think the thing that is encouraging is we might have 6 20 goal scorers without a great playmaker or a great puck moving defensemen on the team. If we do get Richards it will only help guys like gaborik, dubinsky etc score more goals.

San Jose will get 6, with Thornton only needing one more for 20. Philly may get 6, but I think 7 or 8 is a real stretch. I think there is a better chance that the Rangers end up with six 20 goal scorers, than the Flyers.

The problem is that we can be shut down pretty easily as we've all seen the games where we haven't had a whiff of the net. We can also score in droves and have done so numerous times this season. In a PO match we're not an easy team to predict, either for us the fans or the opposing team!

While saying our offense is probably "hard" for opponents to predict is probably correct, I think saying we're "shut down pretty easily" is off base, as is shown by our come-from-behind nature. We seem to have a multi-prong attack from multiple lines all possessing similar skill levels. That gives us a chance to spread out scoring and makes it hard for other teams to line match.

they are close, but one of Nielson, Bailey, or Schremp would have to score a goal a game for the rest of the season to get 6

Parenteau has 18, so the Isles currently have 3 20-goal scorers.

It's great to see, imagine all those guys take big steps forward and add 5-10 to that
Gabby and Cali if healthy would have had 30, dubi probably would have had 30 had he played everygame this season, and hopefully ricahrds can add 30.

That's funny because Richards hasn't added more than 26, ever, and that was in 2004. If he's lucky he matches or betters that career number in this, his mega-contract year.

I do apologize for being wrong, didn't bother to look up his career stats, because frankly I don't care.

the big thing I notice is Torts is leaving the lines together. Even when they went through a rough patch. now that everyone is healthy the lines are sticking together and are starting to produce.

They have been scoring in bunches. It took a while but the combos are looking good at the right time.

Richards is like Joe Thornton. They are assist men. We talk about 20 goal scorers well Richards can help provide that and more. If we can bring him in I expect Wolskii to get a shot on that line with Richards and Gaborik. Then keep the Pack line and the Boyle/Prust...Stepan/Zuccarello pairs together and fill in from there.

Run all 4 lines like they are doing now
