Isn't this an emergency call up in case Glass still can't go?

If Glass and Sedin are out that still only leaves them with 11 forwards even with Bolduc.

This is outrageous and the league has to address this problem immediately. Their should be a no-babies clause in place for all players. Franchises pour millions of dollars to watch these players play, only to have them stuck in the delivery rooms, claiming to be "witnessing" the miracle of life. What a croc of ****. Here is a tip, go buy an HD Camcorder or better yet have a laptop on the bench in between line changes. With Skype, it'll be like your actually there.

Yes its been a slow week, why can't it just be Wednesday already...

Also why is this the first we're hearing of it? The team owes it to us to let us know who is mating with whom and when. My outrage knows no bounds.

Bolduc returning? For the Wings of all teams, in the game we've all had circled on our calendars for weeks? Awesome.

Would it not be such a Gillis tactic to pester Danny's wife with drugs and spicy foods or whatever and take whatever means necessary to get her to pop that thing out a day or two in advance?

We should be ok with this Sedin baby. If I read this right, the kid could one day play for Canada.

If Alex Bolduc is the difference between us playing well or not playing well against the Wings, we may as well throw up the white flag right now.

I believe lack of Art Ross leader Daniel Sedin is the bigger factor here.

Bolduc in the 4th line is what it is.

It's like a ****ing pyramid scheme...

Each twins has 2 or three kids, they all have two or three kids, throw the occasional twins in there and you could definitely fill our roster with Sedins by 2050.

Do people think that with Malhotra lost for the season (and obviously his health is more important than my hockey question), Bolduc will be it for 4th line centre, Lapierre on the 3d, or is there a better option (Hodgson?)?

I would hope that Hodgson gets the call up and plays with Higgins and Hansen on the third line while Lapierre, Torres and Glass/Tambellini on our fourth

I would hope not as Bolduc brings nothing of value.

Depends if Bolduc's shoulder can hold up... if it's limited/weak he's gonna have a tough time winning faceoffs. Hodgson had trouble doing the same but didn't have shoulder issues... I could see Lappy making the move to fill the 3rd line center spot with Hodgson called up to play wing on the 3rd or 4th as needed.

Really depends on how many D the team wants to have on reserve for the playoffs...

So, who brings more value at 4th line centre. Hodgson? Bliznak? Raymond?

Hodgson at least has the potential to bring something although he also had the potential to bring less than Bolduc. I'm fine with Glass as neither Bolduc or Hodgson are particularly good at faceoffs.

Vigneault's got 9 games to weigh his options and make a decision.

I don't really feel like this is a fair situation to put Hodgson in.

I think in the offensive zone it's no contest.. Hodgson. BUT, that's not the role of a 3rd line center... I don't think Cody's strong enough or defensively sound enough yet to take that spot. Don't get me wrong... he's a solid 2 way player with great upside and who knows, maybe he owns the role if he gets it now and into the playoffs?

For now I think it's Glass (who they've been grooming to be a center), Bolduc (if he can stay injury free) and Lappy.

I'm pretty confident Lapierre is going to be given some rope here to show what he can do on the third line. If he's competent, it's likely his job to run with. If he isn't, that's when I think we could see Hodgson.

Lapierre seems to be getting better in the circle as he goes along here (I believe it's 3 games in a row he's been over 50% and was 63% against Phoenix). Outside of Kesler and Henrik he's really the last centre we have left with any history of success at face-offs over a lot of NHL action so we better hope he can turn it up.

I think Hodgson looked worlds better than Bolduc centering the fourth line. I think Bliznak looked better than Bolduc too, actually. But oh well.

i think this will be lappys chance to shine as the "shutdown" center. what he did last year for the canadiens in their magical run.

Is Henrik's wife expecting too? Or do they share a wife?
