Tyler Toffoli Wins OHL Scoring Title

I'm not sure the last time the Los Angeles Kings had one Prospect let alone two(Vey and Toffoli) win a scoring title. Lets see Dave Taylor must have won one at Clarkson University in 1976-77...not sure if Luc Robitaille did, anyone have any idea...Kings look great on the that portside...in LA,Manchester and the prospect pool.wow!!!

Yeah. Azevedo lead the entire CHL a couple years back but hadn't been drafted by the Kings yet. Kozun led the WHL last year, I believe.

Did Toffoli officially win the ohl scoring race? If so, what is the tie breaker because jason Akeson had the same amount of points in one less game played. I would have thought the first tie breaker was least amount of games played.

but Toffoli's name will appear at the top of the list based on having more goals.

"Tyler Toffoli more than made up for a short-handed 67’s lineup in a 7-3 win over the Sudbury Wolves to close out the regular season Sunday afternoon at the Rona Centre.

Making one final push for the OHL scoring title, Toffoli had four goals, including the game-winner, and one assist to earn a share of the crown. He finished the season with 57 goals and 51 assists.

“The league scoring title was definitely on the back of my mind,” said Toffoli. “But at the same time, we just wanted to get a win and close out the season on a good note.”

Toffoli’s 108 points tied him with Kitchener’s Jason Akeson. The Rangers winger and Orleans native had two assists in a 4-3 loss to London.

Toffoli, who also led the league in goals, is looking forward to the first-round matchup with these same Wolves. "

No worries, all those silly goals will go away when they are expected to learn the Murray Defense First offensive system (sarcasm on)
