20 Hat Tricks

Saw a quote in the City Paper that said Geoffrion's was the 20th in franchise history. I was surprised by that. When I thought about it, I can only name:

1. Geoffrion
2. Orzagh (later in the article)
3. Walker (later in the article)
4. Sullivan
5. Dumont
6. Delmore?
7. Tenkrat?
8. Archipov?

I'm sure Arnott had one, I think Erat had one too. Marion Cisar seems to ring a bell. But that's about all I can think of. Kariya maybe?

Who can name the whole list. I'm sure it's out there somewhere on np.com. I just figure it'd be a good game on an off day. Somebody will probably name all 20 in the next post.

thats right it was Valicevic not Peltonen. The reason i thought it was the first season was because they mention it on the "Check Please" CD which I thought came out after season 1.

add another against Dallas, remember when he hopped the defenders stick. He also missed a penalty shot that game

So if Sullivan has four and Kariya has two that would be twenty... IF...

edit: just re-read the OP. Boom Boom is number 20. I guess Sully's fourth is the one 303 missed...

might be wrong, but i don't think sully's had 4. and that 18 i knew for sure, included geoffrions. kariya might have had 2, but i'm not sure which would make 19, only remember one for sure, the last game of the 06 season.

radulov didn't have one did he? i know ronning never did. and don't think we've ever had a defenseman hattrick.

Sully did have 4, i remember all 4 games. I was at the Dallas one, CBUS last year at CBUS, his debut against SJ, and the one against the Sens.

Ah I didn't read this thread very carefully haha

It's pretty neat how we can do this. If we ever get all 20 of them for sure we should keep track of it somewhere for future fans. I'd imagine teams like Montreal have a difficult time keeping up with things like "hat tricks in team history"

sully 4
legwand 2
arnott 2
erat 2
walker 2
hartnell
valecevic
tenkrat
orzsagh
dumont
geoffrion
kariya

kariya might possibly have had two, which would be the 20th, or it might be someone else i'm forgetting

Oh sure, credit "The Oracle," even though I pointed it out first
