Phoenix brass is officially accepting bribes in the form of lopsided trades. We are willing to accept a relocation to Québec/hamilton/winnipeg, saving all of you countless millions in revenue sharing.

I await your PM's.

Don't you get St.Louis' conditional 1st rounder as well?

Can we trade in this mock draft? Or is it not allowed?

Why don't you try to start one man? I am sure you can get some interest there and you can always ask here for tips/advice/pointers and what to avoid.

Haha maybe I just might. Seems like a lot of work. I wouldn't mind if anybody had any tips or advice.

Has anyone ever thought of turning this into a persistant mockdraft + hockey pool? Would be pretty fun.

I was thinking since the people who do this are pretty active, something else needs to happen

Yahoo Keeper Pool perhaps?

Only if they finish 11th, or higher.

Washington, eh?
Pros: they have a pick every round, and little pressure to gamble on high risk picks to land a superstar.
Cons: I was bad enough impatiently biting at the heels of everyone who made us wait last year, so can't imagine how I'll be waiting till the end of EVERY round for my pick, lol.

I think I'd prefer to avoid messing with the formula, and keep it like last year. Look forward to fighting with you to find the best kept secrets in Sweden.

Since I haven't received much interest in the 30th spot, we'll give the final spot to eaglesmaster. Overlords put in a good word for him.

Let's welcome our 8 new members to this year's mock!

I'd also vote against making trades.

Gonna be tough, with you picking a half round ahead of me the whole way, but I think I'll be up to the challenge! Or maybe I'll have to flip the script and start trolling some other up-and-coming market like the Czechs, Danes or something, lol.

Florida?

Pros: I probably can do better than Tallon, possible top 5 pick. 10 draft picks to play with, 7 being in the first 3 rounds.
Cons: I have to clean up the mess made by Tallon...

On trades, I would say it's a good idea. Sometimes, you see trades take place of player + lower pick to obtain a higher placed pick. Plus, it'd be interesting to see how people can make the team of the present better than what it is now, plus set the team up for a bright future. It would give a good simulation of being a GM, but that's my opinion.

Perhaps, i'd have to look into it and talk to the other mods about having a persistent thread dedicated to it all season long. Will look into it more around the summer.

Wow, pretty happy with the Isles. Gonna be an eventful draft over here, that's for sure.

Pros: Everything? Top 5 pick and lots of other picks to work with.
Cons: A lot of research ahead!

I'm not sure about trades. They're fun but the goal of this game is to draft, so it's useless to waste time trying to pull blockbuster deals. Maybe we can do trades centered around draft picks used this year only - at least where the center piece of a deal is a draft pick?

Anyway, I'm really looking forward to this, it's going to be fun. Just don't take forever to pick, please?

Atlanta? Fine with me. There are some questions marks about where I pick in some occasions, how do we clear this out? The one in the 4th round...anybody knows if the Sopel trade with the Habs was Habs 4th rounder or Ducks 4th rounder?

Picking at #6....I have so a guy in mind right now....I'm ready...for the 1st round...so not ready for the rest!!!!

And I've got the Blues (no pun intended). Looks like you and me need to sit down and figure out who picks where haha.

As it stands now I've got 9, 39, 69, 99, 129, 159 and 189...one pick in every round, should be fun.
