Kings had flukey powerplay success and got steamrolled on faceoffs, shots, and hits. We got outplayed and you could tell we were gassed in game 6. If it wasn't for our PP, it would have went 5 games or a sweep by Vancouver. It was not a close series.

I thought we learned from last years stretch run, but we can't be eeking into the playoffs like this. We need to generate some momentum going into the first round.

Big 2 points. Let's separate from CHI, NAS, ANA, DAL, CAL in the standings and let them fight for 6-8th seeds.

Brown played like a captain tonight. Hit everything in sight, got involved in scrums and generated offence.

Simmonds did the same, especially loved his no nonsense take the puck to the net and steamroll Kipper move in the 2nd

Call Moller up anyway even if Williams isnt hurt, Stoll now is in dire need of a LW. Although a Richardson-Stoll-Simmonds line entices me, 3 fastest guys on the team on a line?

Kings only score 2 goals in 3 games, yet leave with 3 points. Ill gladly accept that

re: the too many men

Scuds was hurt and took his sweet time getting to the bench. Mitchell was his change. Kopi received a pass and was bobbling it a little, possibly setting himself up for a big hit, so he dropped it back along the boards. Scuds wasn't to the bench yet and Willie saw that the Flames might have a scoring chance because Scuds was out of the play, so he probably got a little excited and jumped. I think the far side defenseman would have had it covered, though. I can't blame TM for that. I think mutual responsibility goes to Scuds and Mitchell, the latter for not getting off fast enough and the former for jumping too soon. At the same time, gotta wonder just how hurt Rob was. It's not like him to put his team at risk like that.

Don't like the sound of it, just have to wait and see I guess. Knowing our luck, they will just shift the right wings up and play Harrold...

Happy we won.

Willy never just picks up a KNOCK. He always breaks something. My guess is broken wrist or arm. But I hope I am a million percent wrong.

Seeing what the Penguins have gone through this season, no team in the NHL has the right to complain about injuries. Keep your head up boys. The playoffs are made despite injuries and Cups are won with them. It's part of the game. We move forward.

As long as we don't see King or Clune on the top line.

Excellent observation. I was wondering why Mitchell jumped on the ice so quickly and Scuds was taking his sweet ol' time.

Oh that makes sense and if so on WM's part it sounds like he made a smart play out of it. Thanks for the explanation.

During a game I was sitting on the bench waiting to make a change when I saw the opponent start to take off on a break a way. I jumped over the boards and easily got position on him sweeping the puck off of his stick.

After about 5 minutes of confusion and refs talking things out I was given a too many men on the ice penalty but it took away a scoring chance against our injured goalie so I was alright with it.

My coach said it was a good play.

I only point it out to show how a too many men on the ice can be a smart play.

So I will take back my TM bash on that point but, keep it up for the bounceback goal

Get serious. I will personally fire Murray and drive Lombardi out of town if they did that. Simmonds is the obvious choice and when he falters, it will be a rotation of Brown and others. Hopefully, Wayne just sticks but I doubt it.

What this does emphasize though is the need to run 4 lines. I am wishfully thinking that means the end of Westgarth.
