The playoffs start in 3 weeks or so, so it's about as good of a scenario as could have been expected.

He could definitely be back for late 1st round/early 2nd.
I remember last year that he healed a lot faster than expected from the broken leg. Maybe he can pull that off again!

That's what you get for trying to find a name on that line...JINX.

Moller will be a good replacement though..something keeps me believing that.

I thought the consensus was that he was never quite right last year, even after returning. Wasn't he a "healthy" scratch in the playoffs for that reason?

They just talked about Justin Williams on NHL Power Play and said that he is going try to get his shoulder to at least 80% and wear a harness and try to be back asap instead of having surgery.

If L.A. had Versteeg, they cold have the following line:

Kopitar-Moller-Versteeg

Combover line.

If that is the goal, he might be back for the postseason. At least until someone runs him through the boards.

I sure hope someone talks some sense into him and makes him just take a full recovery.

... That's silly. No sense going into games with a bad shoulder, especially against opponents who KNOW he has a bad shoulder. Just take the time off and get it healed properly.

yeah, he was a scratch for most of hte playoffs that year and didnt look so good, but I attributed that more to being out of game shape after not playing since the end of december. so Im hoping that 3-4 weeks of being out wont leave as much rust on him as he had last year after returning

If he is expected back in 3-4 weeks it is likely a Bankart Lession. Painful for sure. But after the initial injury 3-4 weeks you can play again but it will rotate out periodically.

Eventually you have to have surgery depending on where the tear is located.

Personally I'd go with

Penner - Kopi - Moller
Richie - Stoll - Brown
Poni - Zues - Simmonds
Smyth <uggh> Lewis Clifford

I think with these lines you have more of a chance of having substained time in the offensive zone and the way Lewis plays defensively it will help cover for the lack of a decent left wing on his line.

If there's a bright side it's that Moller loves to shoot.

Damn that sucks! Williams is so unlucky.

Penner - Kopitar - Brown
Richardson - Stoll - Simmonds
Smyth - Handzus - Ponikarovsky
Clifford - Lewis - Moller

Lets put the old guys together

I think the first line needs someone quick who can scoot into corners, grab pucks, and get then get them to the two jolly giants (Kopi, Penner) on that line.

Moller always gets hammered in that capacity.... so, shouldn't they put Simmonds on the first line and then Moller on the second as a sniper?

Maybe he'd survive more than 10 games.
