LFHockey Radio Pre-Game Report

This is from the project with Glenn and Bill Ladd for the Fan Radio show -- this is one of the many things we are considering viewable pre-game reports and live pre-game reports.

Currently we're in the beta testing stage

Heres my Pre-Game report for tonights game against the Devils

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_bOMdmFS1ZM

any criticisms would be appreciated!

If it's a youtube video, you just use the "YT" tags around every bit of text that comes AFTER the little "=" on the youtube url.

And I will be getting to you in the next couple of days about contributing. Just have had a lot of stuff on the go here as I settle in to my new habitat.

Good job, you guys. Cheers.

Its a good first showing. I think you need to pump up the volume on your mic a bit and (if you can) concentrate on even inflections in your voice. Meaning when I listened, there was a tendency to quiet down in the middle/end of a passage (though that could be the mic you are using, I'm no expert).

The footage was great. I think that's an area that could use some snap or polish to identify LFHockey Radio as the producer of the show. Any sort of statistics to display would enhance your script if its timed properly. A logo is going to be critical, so spend time on it before you flash it up there.

Good work and keep at it.

Thanks for the comments.. it was quickly thrown together.

The reason why theres different volumes is because I split the recording up, it wasn't done in one run.

We're going to use Bill's logo as well.

Just out of curiosity, what kind of a mic are you using?

Nothing that is studio quality. I'm using a gaming headset.

Maybe a good studio mic will be worth investing in soon if the project takes off.

I'm picking up one of these in the next couple of days:

I think it's worth giving a try to, as I believe the cost of setting up a studio what-have-ya will be a bit much.

Just curious, but isn't it a problem that you are using the NESN footage without permission? Or is this going to be under the radar enough that no one will care?

Dafoomie has it all over his channel and I took it directly from the bruins game highlights.

If there is a problem we will comply..

What sort of mic do you use? I'd try to eliminate the background air sound, sounds like a fan almost. I do vocal recordings for music but other projects as well and the mic i have has different options, Cardoid, etc, so you can get the sound you like. It's pretty nit picky i know but issues i've found in my recording. A good setting if you have a mic is one that might bring the decibels down so the it eliminates some noises. Also a screen and shock mount works well.
