Moot point now. Ducks signed him ... reportedly a 2 way for $500,000 / $105, 000.

For those who care, he was recalled by Ducks today. That didn't take long. Are Ducks looking to move a goalie before deadline?

Doubt Hannu hangs around for another year making 100k. Alec Richards is a AHL backup at best. Time for a vet worth half a damn to get some minutes in Rockford. Steve Shields, come on down.

No, just trying to lift a little bit of the weight off of Hiller's back from dragging that team kicking and screaming into the playoffs.

Curtis McElhinney is probably worth about a bag of sticks. Give or take maybe some pucks on the side.

Emery won 2 big games for Ducks and was 2nd star of the week in the NHL. It will be ironic (at least for me, anyways) should he play against us on Saturday, with both teams fighting for a playoff spot.

Why would that be ironic? He was never Chicago property and Chicago never had interest...

Emery has played well, good for him, it's unfortunate what happened to him last year.

Jet really wanted us to get him, but there's no way he would have played for us this year so let's light him up Saturday.

I don't think we need a goaltender right now, and I thought Salak was supposed to battle with Toivonen next year (I wouldn't mind him backing up Crawford for about 25-30% of the games), so we might not need one next year either.

I'd much rather focus on a #2 Center or a #5/6 D than a netminder.

Agreed. So pumped for Salak.

I'm happy for Emery though. It's always nice to see guys make come backs into the league.
