I agree with the above. A few names mentioned before with potential :

Rylee Zimmer: tall and smart on the ice
Meyer Nell:tremendous work ethic and fast
Cole Oliver:strong , aggressive player
Jake Coulter: small , but amazing skater
Hayden Dola:Goalie with lots of skill
Brett Friesen:Goalie with potential.

Rylee Zimmer

He is moving to Saskatoon. I guess he will join the GSHL and play with top Saskatoon 97 born kids like Lambert, Hebig, Sloboshan, Olson, Hobbs etc....

So any more input into an updated list now that the City AAA rosters are set, along with any rural names, that would make this list more accurate. Maybe we can put together a top 20 forwards, top 10 defense and top 5 goalies list, which can be compared at the end of the season, adding and deleting as the year goes on. Just wondering, so maybe we can have a "WHO TO WATCH" list prior to Director's Cup.

I heard that there will be Route 90, Mustangs, Moose, Bisons, a new team run thru Ketchen, Pepsi and one other team. No Colts though. Of course this is all subject to hearsay and may or will possibly change. Sorry I couldn't be more exact.

dola gets ton of attention due to spring hockey and word of mouth

To me this list looks like the team line ups from last years Winnipeg AA teams with a little mix of the Spring teams. Like I said before I am not complaining, just wondering, because if this is the case it really isn't insightful. Some names from rural that come to mind that are deserving to be on the list are :

Derek Wood
Rylee Zimmer
Tyler Jeanson
Devon Skoleski
Mario Petit
Matt Leblanc
Riley Beauchemin
Braden Groot

Also what about the goalies?

i agree with all those except zimmer , who i dont know of , liam mcleod , carter chambers , , but chambers beauchmin skoleski and leblanc all much to small

i heard the colts will be out for another year ,

due to bolts splitting , ketchens starting a team with mario petits dad and darian penners dad is starting a team named "shox"

and the jr moose will be back along with crunch (so i have heard )

plus there are always crappy teams that have 1 and 2 year runs before droppping out due to going 2-27 (like Jr.riels, rivermen)

in AA i only know the vics all star lineup
on forwards Tyler kee Ryan Schneider and Travis Blaine all good decisions and on d : keigan banerman good pick and jame unrau ? i didn't think was a very talented player and looked to be worst on team ... missed Riley moskal (only other d veteran beside`s bannerman ) and Derek smerchianski and Robert harrow though they look alright
and in AAA i know Tyler brown is in the all star game and Anderson and i heard bouchard and taraschuk but not sure about those

goalies

I have been following this age group for some time now, both city and rural (winter and summer)....and one you have overlooked is the vaeth kid from Crunch/Seine River. he has alot of skill and just plain wins. saw him beat Pepsi and handle Colts in summer, and was starting goaltender as '97 in Bantam AA All-star (Rural) game on team full of '96s. he is son of the Goldeyes coach and talking with scouts i know, will be watched for next year. waiting to hear from my friend in Eastman Minor hockey if he made Directors Cup

Yes he belongs on this list. Can we get an updated list from anyone in the "know" so we know who to watch at Director's Cup and through out the Spring Season.

Zimmer would easily top 3 in the city. He may be going to Notre Dame next yr and Hockey MB has an new initiative for next season in the works. Each region will have Regional AAA team which will compete in 3 tourns next year and possibly a provincial. Pretty sure Zimmer will open eyes at D CUP!

By the way, HABS are gonna win the CUP!!

I am a first time user here, and i just saw this and i have been around the city watching some aaa and aa games during the year. There are many kids on here that i don't agree with, and there could be many additions as well. Also, i happened to watch some playoffs between the Hawks and Warriors, and there's a GIRL on the hawks! Anybody heard anything about her before? Last name Bracken.
