Palushaj

I just don`t understand sending him to the farm. I thought he played really well, almost scored a few times. Worked really hard and has a great nose for the net. Can someone please explain why they did this ?

Well he was playing the fourth line against bigger players. JM wanted a more defensive minded player to play on the 4th line and Engvist is 6'4 200.

He's more suited or that role than Palusaj. Engvist also played in the WC so against tougher competition. Palushaj needs some time in the AHL. Yes he's more offensive, has more upside but right now, his game is not NHL ready

I thought he played OK but he lost a lot of battles due to his small size and like Kboum pointed out, Engqvist fits a 4th line role better than Palushaj does. It was still good to see him get some PT with the big club.

Seriously ? I don`t recall seeing Engquist even touching the puck. If anyone is not NHL ready, it`s him. He doesn`t look like he belongs in the NHL yet.IMO

Hamilton needs him more than we do at 5 min/gm. Enqvist fills the fourth line spot better and keeps Pyatt out on the wings.

More of an organizational move than it being specific to how he performed.

Gee you`d think the big club would be more important. He had great chemistry with Dawe and Pyatt.

I think the biggest reason was because Palushaj's a winger and bringing up Enqvist allowed Martin to get Pyatt back to the wing. With Plekanec and Halpern getting close to returning, odds are Enqvist will only be up for a couple games at most.

Now that makes sense......ok......I liked Pyatt at centre though. Much more effective.

Palushaj wasn't bad at all, not sure if he got hurt in the Wild game and the reason he was sent back down. I would like to see him get a little bigger this off season, seems like a good project going forward

The only reason he got the call up in the first place was to see what he's capable of. Notice the 4th line was barely played and was played as an offensive line when he was up?

Come playoff time they now know they have a secret weapon in case of injuries.

I can definitely see why they were upset getting D'ags for him. D'agostini fits the mold of most players on their team already. He looked the best I've seen him when we played them, really has developed nicely into a solid offensive forward. But Palushaj seems to be somewhat magical and could end up being a similar player but better and more well rounded.

Desharnais was on the ice when Pyatt scored so my guess is he was on the wing. But I think it was a line change that wasn't completed because of an icing so it may not have been as clear cut as that.

He struggled physically, got knocked around and kocked off the puck and needs to improve defensively. Still a work in progress and not yet NHL ready, IMHO needs to add about 15lbs in the next 2 summers and polish out his game.

They should send Enqvist down and call Conboy up. Especially now. Enqvist is as useless as it is. At least with Conboy we would have more physical play against the Bruins.

No worries he won't last long with the healthy players coming back, we don't need Conboy either. Pleks, Darche and Helpern should be in either tonight or Saturday

Just wondering, Conboy is suspended for 2 games in the AHL, is he eligible to play in the NHL before finishing to serve his AHL suspension?

Yes. Same situation happened with Kadri earlier in the year.

And physical play has helped us beat the Bruins exactly how many times since you've started watching the Habs? I, personally, would rather have better hockey players when playing against the Bruins, and Engqvist is a much better hockey player than Conboy.

They recalled White after the deadline plus Palushaj, Dawes, Engqvist. That's 4 I think they are out except for replacing injured players.

I think we've used 4 so far. White, Dawes, Palushaj, & Engqvist. I;m not sure how many we're allowed.

After the trade deadline you have a limit of call ups. Not sure on the reasoning.
