I wouldn't know, the only time I drive through Watsonville is on the way down to LA.

Back to the Blue Devils
Year off?
Cougars/practiced w/ North Stars
Cougar/Jets (quit the cougars and went to the Jets)
Tried out for two AAA teams. One in Vegas and other in Phoenix. Got screwed out of Vegas. Made PHX and hated the team so said no.

Yeah...I played all over.

Man have we gotten off topic. Sorry
Dang, quite the run. Well I hope yer still playing down there.

Sorry Kings fans for getting this off topic. I'll head back on the 101, er back on 101 and back to our GDT.

Cheers to hockey!

The Sharks GDT thread is pretty cool today, a club / music theme with great photoshops of Niemi and Quick

Is this the first time we play the sharks with Penner?

If so that could be interesting. It would be more interesting if the team would stop listening to Granny Murray's Good Old Fashioned Creativity Stifflin Formula and went out and played a responsible game while allowing themselves the opportunity to score.

Meh, Go Kings Go.

Willie is a calming force on the blue line for our 3 kids and a reliable positional player to boot.

Every board has its cool people and we at least in my experience have an everyone is welcome attitude around here as long as your cool. I visit other boards from time to time and almost all of them are full of cool people.

This should be an interesting hard fought game tonight.

Hey... get to the game!

Quick and Bernier's pads from the vintage games are up for sale at the jersey area at Staples apparently. I'd love to know what they are trying to sell those for.

Oh wow. So tempting, but I am stull glued to the Kings' St. Patrick's Day jerseys:

http://auction.nhl.com/cgi-bin/ncomm...2717464&type=L

Quick's leads the team at $2000.00, the closest is Kopitar's at $1540.00

Quick's pads in the store are apparently $3,500 - collector's only (whatever that means).

Come on, it's not coaching. It's all the players fault, the coach is perfect. Just imagine if a team lost their top 2 centers, they wouldn't have a chance at winning any games since the coach doesn't play.

Weve come s long way from when they used to give their gear away at the end of the season out behind Culver ice.

After that they used to sell it through Hans at the Culver Pro shop.

They used to have a sort of warm down family practice on the last game of the season at Culver and then all the pads pants and gloves where just thrown into boxes that you could go through. The goalie pads would typically be first to go but they were all leather without any colors and beat to heck, still pretty cool.

Same with most of the Jerseys. I played with a kid one summer who had Rollie the goalie's pads, he couldn't make a save when he wore them either.

Then most of it went to the Slap Shop on Sepulveda

I went to a couple of the sales that they had at Iceoplex in the early 90s. I ended up buying a few sticks, Disco Dan Bylsma's first NHL jersey and the always popular Jan Vopat game-worn jersey for a total of less than $100
