.............

Win as a team lose as a team no POTG.

Great job getting a point out of a game we should have lost.

The Rangers have gained a big point to distance ourselves from the teams chasing us.

The Rangers usually win shootouts but you cant win everyone. So to me this shootout is forgiven.

The Rangers won 5 straight, lost this one but still got a point, im not disappointed as your not gonna win every game, even in games they should win. But remember there were games they should have lost, and they won, so everything balances out in the end.

Big Point tonight.

LGR!!!!!!!!!

Zuccarello with under 8 mins and a shoot out miss..

Hmmm..

We seemed at least one step behind the entire game..

Staal and Hank were good, as was Prust. Sauer was decent as well.

It took Gaborik a benching in the first and lazy backchecking in the 2nd that led to a goal against for him to finally wake up. He couldn't start the game the way he did in the 3rd? Prospal-EC-Gaborik will be broken up for sure, they look nothing like they did last season.

Speaking of EC, he, along with Wolski and MZA, are prime candidates for a benching. I'll be surprised if Avery doesn't play on Saturday. Maybe he plays with Gabby again to give that line a boost.

Can't kill the team here.

They've been on a great stretch.

They stole a point. Only 2 points back of Montreal for 6th overall. And were not far off 5th, either.

Get back at it on Saturday.

LET'S GO RANGERS!!!!!!!!!!

Dude, why are you still around.

We get it that you have a mancrush on Stepan, but your act is getting old.

I agree that Stepan should have been the 4th shooter, you're blatant mancrush gets annoying fast.

POTG: I voted for Prust, but could easily be Hank

Good: Not too much

Bad: Almost everything

Redden: The fact there are teams like Ottawa Senators in the NHL.

Is Jason Spezza on meth or something? Did he come off the ice in the third period?

Being top 10 in total point for defensemen while playing for the second worst team in the leauge in his second year and he's "overhyped"

The Rangers are such a bad team. I mean God forbid they lose in a shootout to a team playing spoiler while ruining their mediocre 5 game winning streak. Now we're only 2 points back of Montreal and not 1 point. We should tank for a lottery pick.
Rant over.

POTG: Lundqvist
Good: Gaborik, Callahan, Dubinsky, Boyle, Prust, Anisimov, Staal
Bad: EC, W2, The non delay of game call
Redden: All parties involved in the shootout minus Henrik

There's the first one I could find. He has scored at least 2 or 3 that I remember.

EDIT: Sorry that was preseason but he has scored in shootouts I remember 2 or 3.

Yes, yes you can kill the team here. A subpar effort like this against the worst team in the East is unacceptable at this time of the year.

That was in the pre-season.

And he's 0 for 5.

Yea, I saw that was preseason. I could have sworn he had one or two but guess not, thanks for clarifying and sorry to the other guy.

I don't really care who gets POTG, but I'd argue Gaborik deserves it over Lundy... Gabby was a monster getting the puck off other peoples sticks tonight and was getting a couple great chances. If his linemates didn't crap the bed, I could see gabby getting two solid goals. He was probably the most noticeable player out there along with Callahan and Dubi. Lundqvist made pretty routine saves, only a few of which were game savers

Wondering why Torts is trying to strip away all of Zuccarellos confidence.. When he finally started scoring Torts cut his icetime in half. And tonight even benched him.. And not using him on that 4-3 well, with that much space he probably would have won it in ot with a game winning pass or goal.

And going in to the shootout with the 2 best shoothers getting a combined 15 sek of icetime in the 3rd and ot. icecold and with no confidence, well you get what you deserve. This loss is on Torts

As far as the team was concerned, this effort and game was a bit of a failure.

But objectively, it was a big point for the playoffs. Doesn't help that much for Buffalo or catching Montreal, but it gives us a better chance of staying ahead of Carolina.

If you're going to end a 5 gamer; 1 point is an acceptable consolation prize.

Maybe you should read the threads. Sens fans were calling for him to be the best defenseman in the NHL soon, and that is just the start of it.

The thing is that Gabby didnt turn it out until 3rd period. Lazy and responsible on that Sens goal.

Hank made several key saves. That 1 on Kuba springs to mind and Neil on a breakaway.

I don't think anyone ever said "the best".

"One of the best" is a completely, and legitimately, different thing. Kid's a stud. He absolutely will be a top tier level defenseman for years.

the end result of that shoot-out annoys me to no end. Hank breaking his back to make save after save & his teammates can't even make it tough on Anderson. This had to be the easiest win of Anderson's career.

Glad we got the point....would have been sweeter had we got the 2nd point & pull with-in a point of The Habs. I'm praying The Bruins blew their load tonight cos' I'll be at the game on Saturday. The last game I traveled to was Dallas for that brutal blow-out two years ago.

For the life of me, I hope we never have to see Christensen in a Ranger uniform after this season. I cant stand that useless bum.

And Spezza was also a monster today.

I like how Gaborik was playing defensively after the mistake. There was fire in his eyes.

Did you read the threads? It's very possible you were reading them, but it says you made your account in October, so I'm just curious.
