When will JM think about putting DD on a scoring line ? With pouliot and Kostytsin ? Am I the only one that see the stats of our last 25 games and that DD is our best center during that stretch ? What does he have to do to take Gomez's spot ?
agree, I would have DD with AK46 too, 5 on 5 and on PP as well.

What is up with Martin's brain cramps?

AK needs to stay with Eller!

AK isn't the solutions to get GOmez going...as a matter of fact that was already tried and it was a distaster...AK regressed and not for 1 or 2 games but a couple of months...

Poulliot needs to stay with DD as well.

Cami - Pleks - Gionta
AK - Eller - xxxx (Halpern/Gomez/Nigel/Darche)
Pouillot - DD - White
Moen - Halpern(Gomez) - Darche

i wouldn't mind seeing what you wrote on the back of their jerseys instead of their names.

The coaching staff hasn't used Halpern enough on faceoffs. It's puzzling actually, and really inexcusable. Plekanec has taken 1441 winning 49.6%. Gomez has taken 1094 winning 49.7%. Halpern has taken 589 winning 56.5%. It's not hard to get him to take more faceoffs and then have him go to the bench for a change.

What's been obvious to me, is that Pleks has really struggled with PK faceoffs. He's won 130 and lost 151 = 46%. Halpern, in the same situation has won 75 and lost 50 = 60%. Not sure why the coaching staff has missed the obvious on this.

Why split AK and Eller?... Eller back to wing?

Still trying to make Gomez produce at all cost...
I know you assume that Eller is playing wing, but it didn't say anywhere in the RDS report that he is. Actually if you look at it closely, they have Eller at center.
http://www.rds.ca/canadien/chroniques/317120.html

But maybe you actually heard a report somewhere that he's playing wing, so i apologize in advance if thats the case.

It's not hard for him to do that but from that point on it could get much more difficult and problematic. We know what this team is like when changing. Just imagine how many new exciting opportunities we'd have to screw up a change and take a Too Many Men On The Ice penalty. We'd be absolutely humped.

Martin should be fired at the end of the season.

Forgot about that. This team has been changing like tykes all season. Coach calls for a line change and 6 kids jump on

Why not get Eller or Desharnais used to playing top6 minutes instead? That IS our best bet for the playoffs.
DD would be eaten alive in the PO against the OV, Backstom, Semin and co... just like he would be against the physical/big Bruins forward...

as for Eller, he isnt ready -> YET.

Seriously people, read this paragraph from RDS, and tell me why you think Eller was playing wing in practice:

"Dans l'espoir de mettre fin à la disette de deux matchs sans but de son équipe, Martin a aligné Andrei Kostitsyn aux côtés de Scott Gomez et Brian Gionta lors de l'entraînement de vendredi, tandis que Travis Moen s'est exercé avec Tomas Plekanec et Michael Cammalleri, Jeff Halpern avec Lars Eller et Mathieu Darche, et Ryan White avec David Desharnais et Benoît Pouliot. Tom Pyatt était l'homme en trop."

Looks like Eller was playing center to me...

So much failure. Why does AKost have to be wasted on Gomez again? You should keep him with Eller. And IF you decide to move him, you re-unite ATM!!

Andrei-Tomas-Michael
Darche-Eller-Gionta
Pouliot-Desharnais-White
Moen-Halpern-Pyatt

these are awful

I'd like

Cammalleri-plekanec-pouliot
Pouliot adds size and can help the cycle.

White-Desharnais-Gionta
White adds size again

Moen-Eller-AK
Probably our best line lately, all big, strong hardworkers

Darche-Gomez-Halpern(takes faceoffs)
Gomez and darche play ok together, hapern is good at faceoffs

Actually awful and while were discussing lines, I'd like to see PK and Wiz together on the first wave of PP's

I know they need more size in the top 6, but i'd give Desharnais a shot at wing on the top line. Just for a game. Just to see how he does because he's led the team in points since the all star break.

Cammalleri Plekanec Desharnais
Moen Gomez Gionta
AK Eller White
Pouliot Halpern Darche

Poulliot much like AK(eller) needs to be kept with his center DD.

So maybe than:

Cami - Pleks- White (sniper, two & toughness)
Poulliot - DD - Moen (good shot, skill & tougheness)
Ak - Eller - Gionta
Darche - Gomez - Halpern (smart hard working players to get gomez playing smarter)

Ugh, the top 6 just looks horrid.
Eller at wing, not good. Might as well put Halpern on the wing since he has shown a little more competence at that position.
