Kostitsyn-Plekanec-Eller
Pouliot-Desharnais-Gionta
Darche-Gomez-Cammelleri
Moen-Halpern-White

Put the players who actually show up to the game out on the ice to log the big minutes.

The way aK is playing right now, I think he can make things happen on any line. He's just got to keep it going. He looks like a driver rather than a passenger right now.

And as much as gomez deserves flack, Cammalleri is playing worse right now. The habs need him to get going, and if its because he's not healthy, then he might as well sit because he isnt contributing in any positive way to this team

Terrible line-up. AK with Gomez has been tried a million times and has NEVER worked, not even for one shift. So let's match them up again...

And if Eller is really back on the wing, I just can't believe that ! That sounds too stupid to be true. He showed some very promisiing things when at center, never looked any good on the wing

Anyway, to be fair I never like the Martin hire but I'm starting to really look forward to a new coach, whenever that is.

But maybe you actually heard a report somewhere that he's playing wing, so i apologize in advance if thats the case.
I took those lines from MAGrondin twitter...

Cami - Pleks- White (sniper, two-way & toughness)
Poulliot - DD - Moen (chemistry-big/good shot, skill & tougheness)
Ak - Eller - Gionta (chemistry-size-captain)
Darche - Gomez - Halpern (smart hard working players to get gomez playing smarter)

What do you guys think?

Eller should pull a Patches and say that if he doesnt get top minutes he rather play in the AHL. Martin ruins young talent. It is so frustrating. Look what happened with SK and Grabo

I think it works style-wise, but we just don't have the talent, at least not matured talent, for four balanced lines.

Am I the only one who thinks that Gomez was our best
forward, and maybe best player,in that Boston debacle ?
Is this really the best time to replace him on the 2nd line?
Or even make him sit for a few games,as some people sugest?

No the best time to replace/demote/sit/trade/dump him was like 2 months ago.

So he's dead weight for months at a time then puts in a ok effort in a debacle game and somehow has earned immunity ? When about any other player gets benched for a bad turnover or bad penalty ? Not in my books. Talk about unfair...

And at least don't put AK with him : Gomez is gonna drag him down like he has done with every winger that has been given to him this year...

And for the love of God, play Eller in the middle ! Him and AK looked great together, can't they benificiate from a little of that patience the coach (mis)use with the Gomer ?

Those would be my lines :

Cammalleri - Plekanec - Gionta
Kostitsyn - Desharnais - Eller
Pouliot - Gomez - White
Darche - Halpern - Moen

1st PP unit
Kostitsyn - Plekanec - Desharnais
Subban - Wisniewski

2nd PP unit
Darche - Eller - Gionta
Hamrlik - Cammalleri

It's too late to send Gomez to the 4th line. However, I wish AK was paired with Eller...

Cammy-Plekanec-White
Kostitsyn-Eller-Darche
Moen-Gomez-Gionta
Pyatt-Desharnais-Pouliot

Roll all four; that's how you win in the playoffs, anyway, with depth.

Were those rumours ever confirmed? Gomez for basically nothing at the deadline? Was that interest really there?

Why split AK and Eller?... Eller back to wing?

Still trying to make Gomez produce at all cost...

Another FAIL!!!!

Does Martin suffer from memory loss?

Has he already forgotten that the line of Moen-Eller-AK was scoring goals?

It is so simple yet he makes it look complicated.

Cammalleri-Pleks-Gionta
Moen-Eller-AK
Pouliot-Desharnais-White
Darche/Pyatt-Gomez-Halpern

Gomez deserves exactly what he has been giving this team--------nothing.

But.......I expect to see Gomez with another 22+ minutes of ice time on Saturday with nothing to show for it while Pouliot sits on the bench with DD and White.

A sweep by Boston in the playoffs should do it.

Yeah! And Doug Wickeneiser!

Carbonneau was coach when Grabovski played here btw. If they were actually ruined they wouldn't be successful right now, btw.

I don't really like Martin's style but these boards are absolutely horrendous following a Habs loss

The team is in 6th place

Everyone here watches and listen to TM and ML way to much.

What choice JM has really for this year?He made commitments this year and he's going forward with it. If anything, he is doing a great job and just because there is 2.5 millions ways of doing things, don't mean your is better or mine for that matter. One thing is for sure, we are a PO team and I guess we have to support them.
Gomez playing 20 mins or 2 mins is irrelevant and will the only chance at the cup IIIIIs Cary Price.

Here is what we need to see:

AK - Pleks - Gionta
Darche - Gomez - Cammalleri
Moen - Eller - White
Pouliot - Desharnais - Halpern

Sending Gomez to the minors will not make this team play any better unless this team lands someone who can fill a top 2 line center role there is no one in the depth chart atm that can fill that role so don't hold your breath.

Also by burying him in the minors wont help attract new high profile ufas. No one really wants to sign in Montreal as it is. Him and Gionta are pretty tight and just don't see it happening for so many different reasons. Without Gomez this team is out of the playoff race this year too btw.

Gomez will have a better season next year when the defence is healthy.
