Henrik Lundqvist is the absolute best goalie in hockey. **** any doubters of him.

POTG: Girardi
Good: Henrik, NYR 1st and 2nd periods
Bad: Rangers can't finish
Redden: 3rd period. 1 shot, got destroyed in last 10 minutes.

Hank is the best goaltender in the NHL. Dan Girardi had a huge game and shows that with Staal he's a top pairing d-man. The best part of it is its Hanks 11th shutout. Let's get some more and get him the Vezina! What a game, I love this team.

Great win, HUGE win today! Let's hope the Canes and Sabres don't get any points later tonight.

POTG: Girardi, he was a beast, that was about the only thing Joe got right. Hank was in a very close second, defintely second star.

The Good: Hank, Stepan, Staal, Gaborik, Pack line, Eminger and Sauer-McD pair

The Bad: Lack of shots in the 3rd and the fact the PP has started to falter

The Redden: NOTHING!

Great game, lets keep it going

I think if we could all mutually agree, Team POTG is the entire defensive effort of every player on the roster. Nobody shied away from taking a hit to make a play and blocking a TON of shots by the bruins throughout the whole game.

POTG: Team Defense.

We went into shot blocking mode in the 3rd. I wonder how many shots we blocked? Hank played great. Girardi was a beast. Great defensive game by the entire team.

Henrik "Mr. Softy Overrated Outplayed By Every Other Goalie" Lundqvist as POTG, with an honorable mention to the team defense. Lundqvist came up huge in the 3rd.

Wouldn't mind if the Rangers played the Bruins in the playoffs. Rangers are hot at the right time and can hopefully carry this momentum into the playoffs. Haven't felt this confident about the team since Jagr was here.

POTG: I wanted to vote for Girardi but I clicked on Hank by accident. It matters not, they were both out of this World.

The Good: Two points the Ranger way. It may be stressful, but this is our best game, and it's how we'll win in the playoffs. Perfect, textbook, playoff-style road win. In a close game, with a playoff feel, you gotta expect the losing team to turn it on like crazy, especially at home. It's a classic hockey finish. So I don't care that we got beat up down stretch, all that matters is that we survived.

The Bad:I can't complain really. Good win.

The Redden: HUGE matchup in men's lacrosse between #1 Syracuse and #7 Villanova, not televised. Pissed doesn't even begin to describe my feelings about that.

3 stars of the game

Dan Girardi

Hank

Derek Stepan

And two things;

Some people rip on Girardi for his play without Staal, and while that argument may have validity, you can't underestimate Girardi's ability when he's on. Staal or no Staal, Girardi was absolutely dominant in the defensive zone today. Best game of his career.

And for some lost souls who still aren't sold on Lundqvist; I believe Joe alluded to this after the game...3 goals in 3 games, and we have 5 of 6 points in those 3. Now that's freakin goaltending.

3 goals in the last 3 games gives us 5 points.
Says something about our offence, but it sure as hell says something about our D aswell!

POTG: Hank

It's worth mentioning that he's 0.975 SV% and 0.73 GAA in his last 4 games

Just wondering... if Montreal loses in regulation tonight, are we then in 6th? Or do we lose the tiebreaker?

POTG: Girardi

The Good: Boyle, Anisimov, Hank (11th shutout!) and shot blocking.
The Bad: No offense in the last 5 minutes.
The Redden: We're more boring to watch then the Devils and we "trap more then any other team". (according to the Bruins board)

Please do not troll the Bruins thread.

We need to pass the Habs to actually pass them. They have far more regulation wins than us.

No, we would remain in 7th, as we lose the tiebreaker based on ROW.

The good: The team defense played in this game shows we're playing playoff style hockey already. These are huge points down the stretch and the team is playing like their lives depend on it.

The Bad: Would like to see us score more

The Redden: Hate seeing Hank getting run over like that.

Also: Incredible to me that this team goes into the third with a lead, and it's money in the bank. 27-0 with a lead into the third is just incredible, no other way to put it.
