And maybe its just bad luck, but outside of the goal it seems like any scoring chance for TFC hasn't even been shown due to it.
Yeah, it really is. There weren't any problems like this last weekend.
TSN showing its anti-Toronto bias it seems
Do you know if Cann is back at CB?
EDIT: I thought it was going to get chippy there between Santos and the Timbers player. Reminded me of that Canada Day game last year against Houston where there we like 5 ejections.

Bit of a shame. All week, there was talk about the game not being sold out. I think the cold weather and last week's embarrassing performance are two factors for a smaller crowd.
I've bought into the Aron Winter regime. He certainly isn't a Pep Guardiola, but he has a similar pedigree and a similar manner to the Barcelona boss. Let's hope it means something on the pitch.
Well that was much a much better effort than last weeks game. Which isnt surprising considering the opponent & the fact TFC plays much better at home than on the road.
How much do these MLS players make? Is it enough to do full time? Do they have second jobs? What range of money?
Minimum salary is $40,000 (for developmental players). Average starter probably makes in the low $100,000's, with DP's making upwards of $1 million. Best non-DP players make about $500,000.
Not the best 1st half. Much better 2nd half. I thought TFC didn't play extremely well, and a team more organized than Portland would've made them pay. But I like the style of football exhibited in the 2nd half. Martina was outstanding. That 2nd goal was amazing, the finish and the pass from Frei too.
Cann back at CB made such a huge difference. The refereeing was brutal. Portland probably had 3x more freekicks, I bet. And the red card was downright ridiculous.
Stefanovic had a half of play today. He made some bad passes, then showed his skill and speed later. I'll give him a game or two because he just got into Toronto yesterday afternoon.
Yourassovsky looked great at LB. Making great runs on and off the ball. Gordon did some good and some not so good work.

Agreed with what you say
When I saw Yourassowsky in the starting lineup in his debut at a friendly, I thought it was somebody being a nutcase on the TFC twitter (probably Asif ). However, it was not like that and it was his real name, unfortunately for him.
I heard over the PA the announced attendance was 20k... and I know they base that off tickets scanned... but it looked more like 17k when you looked around the stadium.
oh well it was cold as **** but fun as hell. can't wait for the night games! <3

A crazy amount of fans go to the Beer Garden. That could be where a lot of people were. Plus the stadium fits what? 24 000 now with the North end?
Hope they make the playoffs this year.. Same with the Jays.. Im tired of the Leafs and Raptors failing every season. Hopefully the Jays are dominant this season. Same with the Reds as Martina seems great along with DeRosario.
Regarding attendance: I think the MLS messed up with scheduling. TFC has home games stacked in the first and last month of the season, I believe. So March/April and October(?). Talk about colder weather. They should've kept that in mind and started Toronto on the road for the first 3 or 4 games and have a late April home opener. I know it sucks for the fans not to see their club at home for a month into the season, but I think it would've been a wiser decision.
But it's not just the cold. TFC has been a MESS for the past couple of years. Hopefully it's getting cleaned up right now.
