Just wanna say was quite a good game to watch despite the lack of goal scoring. I have tons of respect for your team, Rangers play a very tough game and absolutely deserved the win tonight despite the last few minutes when the Bruins attempted to score. It is looking more and more like the Rangers will pass the Canadiens for 6th and this will be a preview of a first round matchup between the two teams. I hope it is because that would be one hell of an exciting first round matchup. I wish you guys the best of luck the rest of the way, and hopefully we will see you sometime in the playoffs.

Cheers!
thanks man. It would be a tough series for sure. Bruins are a scary team but the Rangers bust their arses and seem to always have tight games. Who the heck knows what the seeds will be but it should be interesting

POTG - Girardi, followed closely by Lundqvist
The Good - Getting the W, Shutout by Hank, endless shot blocks in the last half of the third. The D played well
The Bad - What seemed like a 10 minute PK at the end of the Game
The Redden - Bergeron's bodycheck on Hank
I'm sure nobody who works there knows that though.

I'm sure a lot of words have some kind of meaning in another language.

I cant stop thinking about the defense job of the Rangers lately. They have shutout teams like Canucks, Bruins, Capitols, Kings and Flyers these last couple of months. Last night the combination goalie-defensmen were absolutely amazing. The shot-blocking efforts from everyone in 3rd period is just a sign of a hard-working team. I wouldnt be too much concerned about the offensive part since the Rangers still produces many chances (and SOG). This team can go long way in the playoffs.

Doing a quick count of the board-voted POTG so far, this is where we stand:

1. Lundqvist: 14.5
2. Stepan: 7
3. Dubinsky: 6.5
4. Prust: 6
5(t). Callahan: 4
5(t). Anisimov: 4
5(t). Gaborik: 4

I'm almost certain I counted wrong, but that's what I have.

Any way you slice it, Henke is our MVP. By a long shot.

Question about the offside before the goal: By rule, you can enter the zone before the puck as long as you've established possession of the puck, did Gaborik have possession or no? Because the highlights don't really show that far ahead of the offside.

NHL on the fly commentators said gaborik gave up possesion of the puck when Stepan lifted his leg over the puck..should've been called an offside according to them..

NESN commentators went on about that all game long.

To this moment I don't know. If possession of the puck is defined as having the puck on your stick then that was offsides. HOWEVER, you can't always have to the puck on your stick and that is still considered having possession I am pretty sure, and Gabby had control, simply made a move and collected the puck back up.

Just read in the NYDN according to Jesse Spectors blog the Bruins did not get credited with a SOG in the final 2:30 of the game...holy crap didn't really seem like that when I was on the edge of my recliner

Definitely was not possession. He skated over the line and then reached back for the puck. They blew the call.
