"To no surprise, the Kings’ forwards will play tomorrow the same way they practiced today. Jonathan Bernier will start in goal, with Jonathan Quick scheduled to start Thursday in Vancouver.
Anze Kopitar is scheduled to undergo an MRI today, but Terry Murray said he doesn’t expect it to reveal anything different than the original diagnosis of a broken ankle and a six-week recovery time."

Kings would do well to earn these 2 points. The opponents get a hell of a lot tougher after this game.
Kinda strange that they are still talking about a broken ankle when Anze's father said it was his fibula. Is it possible that it is the same thing...??
A win in this game would do a lot for this team's psyche, I think.
Ryan Smyth's goal last game did wonders for team psyche as well. Talk about a message to send to the team - that was a perfect message, perfectly timed.

When I saw the relief on his face after that goal, I thought it was two fold. An obvious sense of relief for ending his goal drought, but also a sense of relief for the team in that it gave them that breathing room to collect themselves from the Kopi injury.
I like the balance of Smyth-Lewis-Brown: a plugger down low, speed in the middle and well-rounded forward on the right side.
Lewis and Moller in the top six means more speed, could be a different look and certainly something the Kings can use against Edmonton who plays at a track-meet pace.
Guys like 'Zus and Smyth are getting their feet back under them, now they are going to really be tested.
It's not going to be easy but I don't think it's a doom-and-gloom situation, this is a resilient bunch that won a bundle of 2-1 games even with Kopitar and Williams.

I have to admit that I don't understand the idea behind our all of our line changes and I would have made a call up as well but oh well. Lets take it to the Oilers anyways, if we don't like what we see then we can make changes for the next game.
