What's up with Scott Hartnell?

I have Hartnell in my hockey pool and he hasn't been doing anything lately, I was wodering if you guys have any insight as to why? I'm in my last week of the pool and really thinking of dropping him and adding JVR.

Thoughts?

I blame it on the negativity associated with this jersey....

Waiting for his hair to get the right length before he starts scoring goals again.

Ehhhhh, last year, yea, I definitely understand. But this year, I don't know. He really hasn't been good in a while.

Not really sure it's a problem, he's right near his career averages and considering the dreadful slump his line has been in he'll finish right around 45 points.

His line was in a slump and on the Flyers, they basically take turns getting hot Now that he has cooled down, some other people heat up a little. Its is good thing as a team, but sucks for fantasy owners.

Similar story to last year, started good, then just tailed off through the year. Was dissapointed in himself then was a complete dominant force in the playoffs. He is a gamer and until he doesnt show up in crunch time I will give him a little more slack.

I agree with this. I don't think he's been that bad lately as a matter of fact. Even if he doesn't put up numbers at the moment he has been good off the puck and creates a lot of room for his linemates to work with.

He's a guy who we will miss when he leaves unless we're able to find an adequate replacement. He can do some pretty darn stupid things sometimes though.

He has his ups and downs...the only thing he does consistently is show up when it matters. I would expect JVR to outperform him statistically the rest of the season, of course it is hard to predict these things. HBL could heat up again.

Be patient with Hartnell... Is a playoff perfect model of player. Remember last year he was big.

All the team play soft since the all-star break. But i'm sure Hartnell will hit hard in playoff.

He's just a 40-50 point guy, that's all. He's close to reaching his average soon, can't expect much more from him. He has hands of stone, skates like a newborn covered in nutella, and takes 4000 penalties a second.

He's just Hartnell. Don't think he'll ever score 30 goals again.

I have nothing bad to say about Harts this season....He is the best net crasher we have, he has cut his crazy penalties down, and the guy is a tremendous asset come playoff time. His line has fallen off a little, but that's to be expected over a long season...Opposing goalies hate Harts out in front causing havoc.

At least this year he seems to be standing on his skates a lot better....last year he was always falling down like a circus clown.

He's been what I expected this year..he was instrumental on the Briere and Leino line until they petered out of late. He's a 40 to 50 pt guy who bangs out there. You need players like him. He's just a bit overpaid but what is new....

everyone will be praising him come playoff time when he raises up his game. Hartnell set up/scored most of our biggest goals last postseason

He can't skate. That can be a disadvantage when you play Ice Hockey for a living

Stop complaining! 20 plus goals 40-50 points every season, bangs and crashes .. and steps up in the POs big time.

How much more you want for 4 or 4.5 mil?
Seriously.
