Burns vs. Prospect

Why is Brent Burns more ready then any other prospect?

JL says burns needs to learn alot.

I guess i just don't understand..

Does Wanvig or Wallin need to learn? why not play them in the nhl?

If Patrick O' Sullivan was their 1st rounder and burns their 2nd would O' Sullivan be up in the big show.

The reason Burns was chosen to stay with the big club is because the team feels he will not grow any in juniors, and unlike Wanvig and Wallin, the Wild are unable to assign him to the AHL. So its either Wanvig or Wallin playing 10-12 minutes up here, and Burns having an easy time in juniors, or letting Wanvig and Wallin get 17-19 min per game in Houston, gaining confidence while Burns is also able to be coached by Lemaire, learn how to prepare his body, and see probably 50-65% of the games. It all comes down to the fact that Burns is unable to play in the AHL.

He must be doing a lot of learning, because if the Yahoo Boxscore is right, he led the Wild's forwards in ice time against San Jose.

Also scored his first NHL goal. He's quickly becoming one of our better forwards... Well, maybe that's going too far, but he looks surprisingly good out there.

He definitely has surprised me. I was not expecting him to do much damage when he's on the ice. He has gotten my attention now. I'm also surprised that he has been playing so many games in a row. I just thought they would bring him along alot slower especially in the early part of the season. I'm wondering if he gets a day off on thursday.
