agreed sbob. he's been in the northeast his entire hockey life, so might as well play it out.

I'm sad and disappointed, but relieved at the same time. Good luck to Brian in Boston, hopefully in the future he'll come back...he needs to retire as a Ranger...HE HAS TO.

I can't live with this one...

I hate the Bruins. I cannot imagine Leetch coming to New York in a Bruins uniform, moreso than the Leafs. I'm sick to my stomach. I would've rather have seen him in PITT, or Ottawa, or Atlanta, or Detroit, Chicago....not Boston! How often do they play the Rangers?

i think they play them four times.

i agree with you fletch, this turns my stomach. i'm a rangers fan who lives in the boston area, and when i first started following hockey i was both a rangers and bruins fan (moreso rangers, but i rooted for both). but the fans here just would not let that happen. after countless taunts and condescending bs statements about things i realized i couldn't be both, not around here. so slowly my hatred and contempt for the b's has grown, and now they are my least favorite team. worse than the flyers, devils, isles, the whole lot. i'm disgusted.

all the same, i hope he PERSONALLY does well. i hope he wins the norris but the b's finish in 9th place in the east. the last seven years have taught us what THAT position does to a team

Better than the Isles or Devils or Flyers.

Brian had been my favorite ranger for practically forever. I know that area is a second home to him but I'm not sure I like this. Two of my closest friends are Bruins fans. I started playing and following hockey in the very early 70's and the Bruins were the team then (the Islanders didn't even exist) that Rangers fans hated more than any other. You still have to wish him well. He is going to the Hall of Fame and was the Conn Smythe winner when we won it all. This guy is a Ranger's legend. He shouldn't be a Bruin.

I hate this. I don't like Boston teams and it's breaking my heart to see my favorite player in Boston.

Sather can go croak for all I care. I hate that *******. I didn't like him before, I hated him when he traded Leetch, and I hate him even more after today.

Meh, this sucks a lot. I just hope he's happy.

Makes me want to throw up...there are only two teams I'd rather not see him play for: the devs and the islanders. There are 27 other teams, Jesus....

I would have rather him stay in Toronto but Boston is better the others (Isles, Philly...somewhere out West where we wouldnt get to see him as much). Leetch deserves what he wants and im sure the fans there will be forgetting about "No D" Gonchar quite fast. Leetch puts up almost similar #'s to Gonchar but he plays better Defense then Gonchar.

Im getting a feeling that if Leafs sign Allison then Lindros could very well be going to join Leetch..though ive heard Nashville is interested in Lindros.
