Really? Try two years ago when Carbonneau and Gainey led us to our first-round sweep courtesy of the Bruins. These are the 78 Habs compared to that team...

I'm not judging on SOG, I'm juding on the play that I watched. According to your idiotic logic, a game where we fire 50 SOG and only give up 10 but lose 5-0 means that we played terribly.

I could play this game too! Too bad it's pointless.

We didn't look this bad last year. And to be honest, this team is playing hurt and you won't go far in the playoffs if your entering hurt already.

This team still needs to find their game before entering. This isn't my second year of watching this team.

My point is that this team has showed for 3 grueling weeks that it HAS heart. Things haven't been going well lately, and that's about it. This team has all that it needs to do damage in the playoffs, namely Price, Subban and Cammy who looks to be drastically improving recently.

Relax, our beloved habs are allowed to lose a game against a team that had the better goalie and cashed in on their chances. The worst part about this game was our defense played like ass but then again theyre on a back to back. Things will pick up ... "just chill" - Carey Price

What I wanna know is why Price started tonight?
He's obviously tired (as anyone would) and we're obviously looking at very decisive games against Ottawa and Toronto. But no, exhaust the guy that saves our ***** 2 nights in a row.

Have some freakin' faith for once...
are you freaking serious now?
are you that much of a homer that you cant see how bad this team actually is
if it wasnt for price we're not even talking playoffs

this team is undersized, filled with under performers and fringe nhlers
a coach that cant coach his way out of a room with no doors and a gm thats so blind to the teams needs, that in fact goes the opposite way of what we need

You can't even compare the two. We've gotten our ass handed to us 4 times in the last 5 games. This situation is definitely worrisome.

I guarantee the fate of this team regarding playoffs comes down to Mtl/Toronto - last game of the season.

Seen this too many times. Habs have lucked out in such scenarios in the recent past, but not this time around unless they find the "urgency switch" now.

This offseason might be very interesting once again - either because of Gauthier's roster moves/coaching evaluation, OR
moves he will not make..............

I can't figure out this team.
That is the perfect words to describe this team. I have watched 75 of the 78 games played this year, and even I can' t understand the team.

I see some solid parts to build around for the future - Plekanec, Eller, Subban, Price and Pacioretty. Not to mention prospects such as Tinordi, Leblanc, etc.

They need two players like Andrew Ladd or Dustin Penner in my mind. Some big bodies who can create some room for Cammalleri, Gionta and Plekanec.

The question is, how do we aquire them? I realize we have one in Pacioretty, but we need to get some more skilled players with size. This has never been more clear until now.

Let's see what management does this offseason. Year in, year out we have been disappointed. Let's see what happens.

Yeah, but Detroit actually plays a puck control offense and are very aggressive on defense. They will be fine the next game. They cannot win them all and some are ugly.

However, looking at the last 6 or 7 games, we have been consistently bad.

Man, you act as if we looked the same tonight that we did against the Sabres, Bruins and Caps. In all my years of watching hockey I don't think I've ever seen the Habs that bad. Tonight was one of those losses that in a string of games earlier on in the season would've been shrugged off. They're finding their game as shown over the last 2, tonight was just a bad case of "I'm ****ing tired" by the defensemen. Just get over it!

You are seeing a whole different Cammalleri than what I am seeing then...he scored tonight, I guess he is off the S&!T list?

If NYR didn't have Lundqvist they wouldn't be looking at the playoffs either.

If Buffalo didn't have Ryan Miller, they wouldn't be looking at the playoffs either.

If the Canes didn't have Cam Ward, they wouldn't be looking at the playoffs either.

If the Leafs didn't have Reimer, they wouldn't be having their year end pipe dream.

Don't shoot the messenger. But that's the way it is. Habs won't ever hire another English coach unless it's a legend like Gainey or Robinson. It's as sure a thing as the CanWest media empire endorsing Harper the day before the election.

Nothing we can do about it. Business is business...
