Crazy talk.

Rangers are making the playoffs. This was not a good game, but they are better than that and will be on track against the Isles.

Playoffs awaiting. Go Rangers!!

Officiating is a spin of the wheel.
It's just BS and does nothing but cause confusion and anger for players and coaches. Now watch teams go nuts if someones toe looks like it may have nipped some blue paint.
I would have agreed with the call only if Cally skated through the crease and intentially made contact with their goal tender but he did what you're supposed to do. That's get your self in a set position in front of the net and take the quickest route possible. Buffalo's own defense man wedged Cally in between himself and the goal tender. So why the Rangers had to pay a price I don't know. Not to mention the save was made so it's not like Cally did anything outrageously out of the ordinary. I haven't seen that call made in several years.
If Callahan was looking to initiate (and in fact did) contact with their goal tender I would fully agree with the call. I also can't believe these guys wait until there's a handful of games left in the season to make borderline "iffy" calls like this when every game means so much to both teams. It's nuts...Fans watch the game to enjoy both teams go at it. For some reason the referees think they're part of the spotlight as well. It ruins a great game.

HOLY HELL OVERREACTION

I'll admit I only watched the first period, I had important stuff to take care off, but their effort looked fine there.

If you are panicking that the Rangers might not make the playoffs, lord have mercy on your sorry soul.

Why do all you guys say Hank is the potg every night? He did not have 4 tough saves all night, it's his job. This team does not give up alot of scoring chances.

Ok maybe it's also because no one had a point on the team?

Yes we can bench EC but would that really be smart, hes got one of the shots on the team. Seriously though its time to get WOLSKI out of the lineup, the guy is working hard but it leads to nothing, hes too weak in the corner which is key this time of the year. Why would be sitting MZA who creates chances when hes on the ice and is the smartest passer we have to create goals. Get him in for W2. Prospals not looking to good out there also, i mean he and Gabs have some chemistry sure but idk i guess there no one else to put in his place at this point, not like Dru could play with Gaborik. Only if we put Steps with Gaborik and Christ, Pack line, Avery-Dru-Zucc(idk about this one and than the Boyle line. I mean we have to shake things up next game imo.

That does not mean no one played well. The Stepan line was all over the rink. They had 10 shots between them. Pretty solid effort tonight!!!

1. For all he lacked in the offensive zone, Boyle played a very strong game defensively. Among other things the block he made in the first when Hank was down and out basically save a goal.

2. The gdt trolling is getting out of hand. Root for the sweater.

You say Henrik didn't have four tough saves all night. Since "tough" is a matter of opinion, we'll say you're correct and he wasn't tested too badly on any one shot. He faced 35 and stopped 34, giving his team a chance to win (the goal he allowed was just the second he's allowed in the last 4 games, regulation + OT), while the players in front of him combined for only 23 shots and zero points. There is no way you can argue that any one player on our team gave us a better chance to win tonight than Henrik Lundqvist. That is often the case.

(2) Tomorrow is a must-win, IMO they miss the playoffs without 2 pts tomorrow

POTG is Lundqvist as always.
The Bad: BAD START!
No that is not true at all, Torts has a very good sense of talent and value imo. Hes smarter than we give him credit for. Trust me if he think W2 is goin to offer more than someone else he would play more mins, if he held grudges Avery would not be playing but he knows that value he brings which is what i like about Torts. Idk if ur another Wolski fan club but why dont u ask yourself why 2 other teams have let him go so early in his career even though he gets points. Racking up a few points means nothing if ur lacking in other areas. Ill give him credit hes had decent forecheck, but doesent finish checks the way some would like. The main thing is he loses battles 9/10 in the corner and does not use his body at all, poor balance.

What game were you watching? Effort looked fine? We barely had any shots let alone real scoring chances until the final 5 minutes of the 3rd period.

We scored 3 goals in the last 4 games... so yeah I think we have a problem playing the Flyers and Thrashers who have had our number most of the season, the devils and Isles who are looking to spoil our season, and the Bruins who we barely beat the other night.

If you don't think there is cause for concern, will you buy the Brooklyn Bridge from me?

I went to this game, what a terrible game to go to as a Rangers fan. Had nothing to cheer about the entire game for the most part, just sulked in my seat... lol

Both statements are wrong.

How was wolski supposed to do anything with just under 8 minutes of ice time the entire game?

Tomorrow isnt a "must-win" or else they miss the playoffs. Winning tomorrow against a team out of a playoff spot would be ideal. They can still make it if they dont win tomorrow.

I will not be surprised if Montreal is the one falling out of playoffs-spot. They have been awful lately.

Agree on wolski, disagree on the isles. If we can't beat the isles do we really deserve to be in the playoffs? It is a must win game as the sabres and canes are gaining ground, another loss to the islanders (a team we should beat) and what's the point of the playoffs? So we can get swept in the first round? Tomorrow is a must win

It's March 31st. Every last single minute of hockey from now until September is a must-win.

mostly, but not entirely. if we are up 3 points on the team behind us and behind by 3 points to the team ahead of us and it's April 9th I see no reason why Hank shouldn't get the day off for a meaningless game against the Devils. but that's probably wishful thinking. tomorrow is a pseudo must-win because after the Isles we've got Philly and Boston...and it's not likely we take 4 of 4 points in those games. last thing we need is to head to Philly on a 2 game losing streak at this time in the season. bottom line is we need to beat the Isles. if we don't then Philly becomes a must-win of a different kind.
