We played pretty well, but in the end we just dove too much to win this game. Its our own fault.

the Penner-Zus-Moller line REALLY needs to be split up. I don't know how TM can keep that joke of a line together for this long.

They did a slow motion replay on the feed I had and he clearly threw his stick. He saw him cutting across the crease, couldn't get down (notice after he threw his stick he just flopped on his back instead of sliding across the crease as he never had position in the first place) and then decided to throw his stick at the puck.

Check out youtube, maybe someone will post the replay, but he clearly threw the stick once he realized he was beat position wise.

More than likely, since he was on the far side of the ice, he thought Handzus had gained possession, I can see how that wouldn't have been called, if he had been on the strong side of the ice, he might have called it.

Yeah, I'm willing to admit I'm a little disappointed in Burrows and Kesler tonight. That Kesler one especially was a dive.

And yes, the Handzus play should have been a penalty.

That being said, please don't suggest that the hit on Tanev was a bad call. Because that would make you look like homers, and we all have to make concessions.

In all seriousness Kings fans, great game, hope nobody's injured, and see you in the playoffs!

The first line needs a big shake up. Moller had a horrible game and where the heck did Penner go?

With the offense we have, we need our goalies to let it no more than one goal to have a chance to win.

Thats tough to do.

No shots in the third? Ouch.

Has anyone seen Penner? He's been terrible for most of the last 7 games.

I'm honestly not upset with this game at all. As somebody else already said, the Kings (with the aid of the Vancouver diving team), beat themselves. If the Kings had played smarter, they had a solid shot of winning tonight despite weak offense. I would have been much more upset if the Kings gave their best effort and got demolished.

Watching the Kings drive me absolutely insane, just stupid play after stupid play. I don't mind losing if we were out played, which they were for the most part, but to allow two awful goals was the end.

Plus Kozari sucks a fat one for calling Greene on that cross check, the only reason he called that was because of the Vancouver fans. Just an awful official.

That made absolutely no sense. Apparently the Handzus hit was ok since he was already tied up with another player whereas the Clifford one was awful since it was a one-on-one play...? At least that's the way John Garrett sees it.

Toffoli's junior season is over. Send Moller back to Manchester.

Call up Toffoli.

Just tell him to go to a certain spot every time down the ice, pass it to him, and let him snipe a goal. It worked in the Mighty Duck movies.

honestly, and im not just saying this because its fresh in my mind or anything, but i think that is the most obvious throwing of the stick i have ever seen, since he literally throws his stick so far it ends up at the hash marks

All in all, im happy with that game. The Kings beat themselves in the end, but they played well considering they were @ the now president champs with the top 2 guys missing

No penalty shot for throwing the stick by Luongo.

No penalty for interference on Handzus.

Major penalty when it was a minor at worst.

No dive against Vancouver on the "cross check" penalty to give them a 5-on-3.

Yep, the refs sure screwed Vancouver tonight.

Anyways, the Kings can pretty much eliminate Dallas from catching them for a playoff spot on Saturday.

Go Kings!

I guess there are two versions of Penner, the motivated power forward, and the lazy big oaf. Lately, we've been seeing the latter version of Penner. I think he's a good support player riding the coattails of far more talented linemates. His play has suffered mightily since he's been playing with another slug on skates (Handzus) and a midget (Moller).

What first line? We have 1 second line, 2 3rd lines and a 4th line. Maybe.

Still can't believe there were no shots on goal in the 3rd period.

Like everyone else mentioned..Zeus' lines needs to be dealt with.

Trust me guys, you'll make the playoffs. GG tonight, I see there's still some hard feelings, but you guys played a great game in the first 2 periods, and if you keep that up, you'll win most of the last games of the season. I'm guessing 6th place, which puts you against Detroit (who suck this year). Easy pass to the second round.

Seriously, they could only beat a team without it's 2 top point producers, 1 being the Kings top player, by a score of 3-1? Yeah, enjoy getting bounced in the playoffs by the 2nd round. Enjoy that Presidents trophy jinx.
Please Chicago finish 8th. I beg you. Go for the hattrick.

The call has to be made but Tanev also has to be smarter on that play. I just hate it that he turns his back when he knows Clifford is coming. It's that type of play that you want to see clutching and grabbing back into a forecheck. Just stupid play by both players.

LOL, no surprises here tonight: the Kings lost this one through probably too much emotion.

I'm literally crying laughing reading their GDT. Never have I seen a fanbase with such an inferiority complex while being masters of conspiracy theory.

Who cares about the loss? On to the next game.

The line of Stoll, Ponikarovsky and Simmonds has done zilch of late as well. Completely nonexistent out there.

in all honesty tanev was losing his edge and you could see that clifford didnt really have a checking stance even going, tanev was going down and it just looked bad
