No time for joking - gotta keep this draft moving at 20 picks a day - whether 20 picks get made or not!

I'll take Andre "Superpest" Boudrias, LW/C

that's right, he's available. I'm absolutely thrilled to get him. I'm surprised no one has taken him as a fighting/faceoff specialist yet:

Zenon Konopka, C
What date is it again?

Jokes should be funny, not just disruptive and annoying.

Haha I thought it was pretty funny, I just wanted to be sure this was a complete joke like I thought it was.

This pick, actually good haha. Great 4th liner if that's how you're using him.

I can see him filling in at LW on the 2nd-4th line in a pinch, and at C on the 3rd or 4th if I need him to. He's pretty multi-skilled. Biggest drawbacks are his size and rarely getting a chance in the playoffs.

sorry everyone, to be so disruptive.

This is your first draft. It happens every year. It was funny the first time.... maybe even the second time...

I know I took Hayley Wickenheiser three years ago in LC ATD 1... other than that, I can't recall any April Fool's picks...

The United Press Newspaper All-Star team. I would of liked to put it in ''size 1'', but Rollins has so many accolade outside the NHL that I decided to keep every NHL accolade at the regular size.

LL, it's a four hour max clock but more than half the GMs have less time than that from previously being skipped

I read his name, thought "huh, probably a European player I've never heard of. Wait, he's currently leading the NHL in PIM's? *flashback to Canucks board discussions about fourth line C trade candidates*. Wait, what the hell, isn't this the Islanders fourth line center? Is seventies THAT confident in his team that he's throwing picks like this...maybe he's drunk. No, pick made this morning...hungover then....oh, it's April Fools."

And that's the "cool story bro" moment for today.

It's a 4 hour max. With your 3 hour penalty, it leaves just 60 minutes.

Nice bio on Rollins. Is he the only Hart winner that was not a 1st or 2nd Team All-Star? Could be a good trivia question.

Thank You

I cannot think of a single player who won the Hart without receiving All-Star accolade, true.

Does anyone know how many goalies played in the all star game in the original 6? Was it just one per team, so the cup winner and one other?

Played as in were on the team, or played played?

Hockey Reference has it listed as 2 per team more often then not:

Ok, so that means that the two goalies from the cup winner and two best goalies (for the first half of the year?) from other teams

Thanks for the link. The All-Star game was played before the season started, right?

EDIT: it's puzzling that 50% of the time there's only one goaltender selected and the other 50% 2 goaltenders. I don't see any consistency whatsoever.

Actually IIRC it was the two all stars from the prior season. Most of the early ASG dates that I've seen are in October. I don't think they changed that until some time in the 60s, after the initial wave of new teams was added.

Yeah I couldn't figure that out either. Not sure if that means that only the one played, or if that means that the first or second team all-star was on the Cup Champion.
