Rangers go 2-2 with wins over Philly and Atlanta and losses against both NJD and Boston to end the season.

This weekend is huge. Obviously the Rangers are not responding well to pressure lately, so if they come out of this weekend only 1 point up or in 9th, I kind of feel like they blow it on the homestand. If Philly takes the early Sunday off again and the Canes can lose one this weekend then I think the Rangers will have enough cushion to eek it out.

Rangers do have to earn it.... they missed the playoffs on the last game of the season last year in the shootout.

2-2 makes it so Carolina would have to go 4-1 in the last 5 to pass us. With their schedule, I will take those odds.

I agree with who ever pointed it out the other night, it will come down to the game with the devils.

It's time for the young leaders on this team to look each other in the eye and ask some tough questions.

Do we really give a damn? Can we really play for each other?

Yeah. Seems like they make it pretty tough on us. But when I look at how young they are, it's a little easier.

I'm not making any excuses for them, but sometimes young means not getting it. The importance of maturity and experience can never be over stated in any endeavor.

Not sure how it's actually going to play out game to game but you just know it's coming down to 4/9.

Rangers play the devils in the afternoon. They'll either need to win that game or have Carolina lose later that evening. Stock up on the alcohol now because you're going to need it for the next 8 days.

I agree. I'm hoping for 2 and 2 and a couple of CAR losses. I don't expect much from the playoffs but not making it would be a major disappointment. They've had a surprisingly good year so far, the playoffs would be a nice reward.

Not exactly the easiest schedule. Two back to backs that include traveling on the weekend mixed in with a game against the Wings. I still think the Rangers get in but I'm an optimist.

Its all good we seem to play better when we respect our opponents, which is probably why we have trouble beating lower ranked teams and average goalies. I am confident the Rangers will bounce right back
