Yeah. In the past Murray has said he doesn't like to make wholesale line changes when there's an injury, just make a swap for the injured player. Why mess up working combos?

Penner-Richardson-Brown
Smyth-Stoll-Moller
Ponikarovsky-Handzus-Simmonds
Clifford-Lewis-Call Up/Westy (ew)
I'm thinking this is the way to go still...

I don't think they're bad or anything like that but Clifford-Richie-Simmonds is not going to wind up as the first line.

Lol!

Seems like putting Ponikarovsky with Zeus and Simmonds shoudl be a no brainer. I'd also like to see Penner with Stoll and Brown. I guess it doesn't really matter. They'll be swapped by the second period.

Smyth-Stoll-Moller

I actually like these. Moller and Penner together was death, those two just had zero read off eachother.

Excited to see Clifford-Richie-Simmonds. That lines spells ENERGY. I would not want to be the Dallas line that gets the responsibility of checking those guys, they will get pummeled along the boards.

Those were how he saw them. This is probably the actual order:

Penner-Handzus-Brown
Smyth-Stoll-Moller
Clifford-Richardson-Simmonds
Ponikarovsky-Lewis-Westgarth

Scuderi-Doughty
Mitchell-Johnson
Martinez-Greene

All I know is that we better have lines with proven chemistry before the playoffs. Or else.

I'm kinda pissed that Lewis is back on the 4th line. IMO, he didn't score last night but was just as good as he was the previous game and a period. Why would you take a guy who has 4 points in the last 2 1/2 games and put him back on the 4th line with Westgarth?

I don't know how I feel about JJ on the right side. It didn't work out before.

I'm fine with the lines Hammond posted. Fact of the matter is that the top three lines are probably going to get equal ice time. I think Zeus will be able to produce given these linemates. I really hope so anyway.
Thanks for your kind words.

As for your original post about Richie, I'm 100% with you. I've always said Richie should play on the top 3 lines. He's got skills, he just needs to play with the players with same skill set. Personally, I'd like to see Zeus get demoted back to 3 or even the 4th line and give Richie the chance to play alongside Moller. Not quite sure if I want Penner on that line.

How about...Richardson-Lewis-Brown line?

These guys always seem to find each other on the ice.
