This weekend will mark 7 years since the end of 03 - 04 season.

A little over 2 months later at the draft we selected Dubinsky and Callahan.

We have to hear a lot from those two in the next four games.

It's your time guys.

I think we can do it. I won't be surprised if the Islanders lose on purpose, too.

I don't think the Islanders will lose on purpose...that would just be the biggest ******* move.

You know what? They just might.

I think if they start Rick Dip, then they're trying to lose on purpose. They also have
incentive to start him to further tank for a top 3 pick.

I think putting up MTL schedule is also important. They should fear missing the playoffs just as much as we do.

Best case realistic scenario:
3 wins
tie/SO win vs Philly

worst case: don't want to think about it...

Assuming Hank is basically ok; if injured and they're not telling us, all bets are off.
This team can recover without Hank, but it's an adjustment and not one certain to work on little or not notice.

and i dont think the piles will purposely lay an egg on home ice regardless of the situation. if they put on a good performance and get it to overtime i wouldnt be surprised to see dipi lay in his crease for the shootout.

Team isn't winning without Hank at his absolute best.

We need Hank to steal a game against Philly.

Sorry for my lack of optimism here, but this has heart-breaker written all over it.

Agreed because if they make it we have to win games 2-1 or 1-0. This team has serious offensive issues. Shoulda got Richards when we had the chance. Everyone crying but what do you expect when you put Erik Christensen and a rookie as your top line centers?

3 pts up with Carolina able to ge 10 pts. I doubt they can go 5-0 so 5 of 8 pts likely does the job. Lets just hope the Canes lose 2 in a row and the Rangers get atleast 3 pts out of 4 this weekend. Then we can all chill

Losing 2 in a row, in regulation to boot, certainly changes things drastically. However, I think last night's loss will re-charge the guys in a positive way.

Missing the playoffs this season while basically having stayed in the top eight since October, will be a huge ****ing embarrassment.

For me it's not the two games in a row thing that has me worried, it's the 1 goal per game they score the scares me and our goalie being banged up with no real backup in sight. I'm not for hitting the panic button but this time my finger is right next to it. Next game tells me if I slam it down or put it away.

2-2 makes it so Carolina would have to go 4-1 in the last 5 to pass us. With their schedule, I will take those odds.
Any combination that results in NY gaining a 8 point differential results in them staying in. They have 5 points to go. 2 wins and an OT loss and they are in.

Win against At
Win against NJ
OT loss in Philly
Boston is a toss up.

That slipped my mind for some reason... I can't say I was too confident after the win against Boston considering we scored teh same amount of goals vs Florida and Ottawa too.

The guys better rebound from this. I want playoff hockey, dammit.

I'm just worried about Henrik's ability at this point. He dropped like Glass Joe against Little Mac on Martinek's goal last night and seemed to be shaken all night after it.

If the Canes loose today we have a very good chance to make it. We can beat the Flyers tomorrow.

I think they make it by going with 2 wins, 1 loss and 1 OT loss.
