The report listed the following two lines from the Stars' practice:

Benn-Richards-Eriksson
Morrow-Ribeiro-Burish

Let's hope the Kings defense is ready to clamp down and play an aggressive game against the Dallas forwards. I expect them to come out flying and playing physically. The Kings need to win a low-scoring battle, they can't afford to take chances and swap scoring chances with the Stars, they don't have the finesse nor the firepower to match up with Dallas's offense.
The Dallas offense isn't very good. I don't think we'll have a problem shutting them down.

So you're saying this game will be a carbon copy of the last game against the Stars? In that case, I picked a hell of a time to stop sniffing glue.

This is not a game against Dallas. It's one against our own. We play it, we win. We don't, we struggle to win. The loss of Kopitar and Williams magnifies defense, discipline, forechecking and the importance of traffic in front of the net. This is a good game for Penner to break out of his funk.

When we execute our game, we make it look like the other team is standing still (I love watching those games). When we don't we start to hesitate and stand still. I want to see the former.

I've been down on alot of the negativity around here but I have to say that zero shots in the 3rd period was very disturbing to me. This is a game against, arguably, our biggest rival, down the stretch, fighting for playoff seeding, and can't muster a single shot? Only the 5th time in franchise history this has ever happened and it's now? Against them? Like I said, very disturbing to say the least.

But today is a new day and another chance to prove what the team's identity is. I was at the last game against Dallas at Staples and left very disapointed. At the time Jamie Benn was on fire, I think he's cooled off a bit and the Stars are starting to lose their grip. Let's do ourselves and the rest of the top 8 a favor and kick them while they are down! No let downs, no fanned passes/turnovers, DD must simplify, Brown must continue to lead, Quick must simply shut the door today.

GO KINGS GO!

i really wasnt bothered about the 0 shots, it wasn't as if they didnt have any offensive zone time or got shots towards the net. Its just all were blocked or went wide. They spent 7 minutes on the pk aswell in the 3rd

The Kings are strong defensively but Benn-Richards-Eriksson is a not a line that can be shrugged off as an easy shutdown. If the Kings succeed in shutting that line down the outcome will likely be a good one.

Doughty in particular has been stripped for breakaway goals twice by Benn this year. It will help if our blue liners don't cough up any big fumbles today.

I didn't say easy. I was just pointing out that the Dallas offense is sub par by NHL standards (which it is). The Kings have shutdown much more potent attacks with regularity this season.

I'm going to be using that goal horn as an alarm clock today... This is not going to be good on just three hours sleep...

Greene loses his lid more than anyone I've seen in recent years.
