That's just gravy...I was simply happy the Habs won.

satisfying win. overall, much improved effort, focus and desperation. darche's goals were exactly what we have to do more: drive the net. defensive breakdown cost price the shutout but the win is what's most important.

Can you imagine if both Buffalo and Rangers choke And Carolina and Leafs make it

No NY area teams in playoffs.

If Carolina loses tomorow in regulation. 1 PT would clinch since MAX Carolina would get after 3 games is 92 points (86 pts)

If Sabres lose tomorrow in regulation 94 points is the max they can get.. so 3 would clinch then.. (Carolina would be able to get 94 pts too max)

If Sabres lose in OT tomorow. They'd have 89 points. Max they can get after 3 is 93. Two points would clinch because of a tie breaker.

Am I correct with all this?

I always knew that NHL thought Montreal was in France.

Yep. Honestly I'm just worried about clinching and not really positioning. If Sabres win tomorrow in regulation we only need 1 point to clinch.

Yeah, so after further research. I can conclude. Sabres need to win in regulation, and one point would do it.

I really hope the Lafes will be 2 points from a playoff spot in their last match.

And then play us, so we can shatter their hope.

95 in scenario three, not 93. So 4 points would be needed to pwn Buffalo.

I believe they are in now. 91 points should be good for 8th place but if they can win at least two more games it would be better.

Same here.

It would be bitter sweet revenge for 06-07.

Habs own tie breakers against all of the teams below them, For other teams to pass Montreal they must have at least one more point than the Habs.

True. My mistake.
But, 94 points automatically means a playoff clinch. So 3 points.. your in.

Lemaire said he didn't pull Marty because his team played so bad that he didn't want to get scored on again.

Ahh that feels good to type.

Well the ref never whistled so good for Pleks to keep playing. Marty never had the puck, I think he was just pissed that his D's were all sleeping
