A) yes it does
The weighted method takes the opponents record and home field advantage into account when randomly picking scores, so the better team is more likely to win

If they lose against the Flyers tomorrow then I will give a big fat no.

From a blind statistical sense, Yes.

From the fact this is the Rangers who can't catch a break going up against the luckiest team in the history of hockey (Hurricanes), there's no effin' chance, unless the Sabres find a way to lose a few.

I'll tell you right now, the Hurricanes will not lose another game this year, period.

The Rangers will go 3-0-1 over the next 4, and lose out on a tiebreaker.

That would be 11-3-1 down the stretch, in 8th when the stretch starts, but miss due to exactly ONE bad game. That's not a choke, it is terrible BAD luck.

Screw the Hurricanes and their kindergarten classroom arena.

Washington Capitals are now leading the East. If the NHL actually awarded points for regulation wins or stopped awarding points for losses, the Capitals would be THIRD in the East.

while i agree with the fact that the rangers have no effin chance saying their play over the past week is chokeworthy i dont see how you categorize it any other way. To a man, everyone including the coach realize they've shat the bed. Not showing up for 2 huge games has nothing to do with luck. This time tomorrow they will be exactly where they deserve to be.

Rangers have controlled their own destiny for quite some time. With 4 games to go they are still in control. If they don't make the playoffs, it is a choke. No way around it.

It is.. Mathematically. It's giving you your exact odds at making it to the playoffs. If it gives you a 100% chance, you can RELY on it being correct that you will make the playoffs.

I was really hoping for a drama free ending to the season, especially after last year.
I'm at 50/50. Hank WILL turn it on, but Gaborik is the great x factor. If he shows up in the next four games we'll be okay. If he doesn't, well, it'll be a crap shoot and time to pray.

That's a little drastic isn't it? We are still building a young team, I don't think switching coaches would change that

We have a better team than that. In my opinion they should be much higher in the standings this season. Totally Torts fault. Again it's my opinion and you welcome to disagree with me.

If we win today, and Buffalo beats Carolina, we are virtually in.

But things could happen the other way, and we could be on the outside looking in after today.

LGR.

Voted 100% last time, gonna keep the confidence.

Players with less than 200 Games of NHL experiance

Stepan
AA
Prust
Boyle
Zucc
Sauer
McDonagh

All who, for the most part, get significant ice time...

I think he's doing just fine.

Tort's has turned the NYR into the Hardest Working Team in the NHL. Hockey is a sport where work ethic can win over talent and skill. He took a team with what most people would call a roster with a "lack of talent" and turned us into a potential dark horse in the playoffs. I love the make up of this team and feel this team WILL do serious damage in the playoffs. I'm very confident at every aspect of the Rangers game and I amount much of that success to Tort's and the players stepping up and following suite.

Thanks for saying this - agree 100%. The transformation of this team into a relatively tough, very hardworking team is all down to Torts. He's not been perfect, of course, but he's the leader of this team, and has helped instill their identity. BMW is just wrong here.

Hate to break it to you...but Torts will be back whether we make it or not. So you might as well root for them to get in and enjoy a bit of playoff hockey.
