Sturm > Harrold
Sturm has injury problems. Penner > Sturm. By waiving Sturm, Lombardi put a better team on the ice.

Overrated by who? They were universally picked to be near the bottom of the Western Conference before the season. Their hot start surprised everyone, probably including themselves.

I still want third in the conference. I want to **** San Jose up on Monday, leave the Coyotes as dead as road kill and then have the Ducks spitting blood for consecutive games.

Sturm wouldn't have made a big difference for LA, but I was just showing that Dean makes moves that aren't always about putting the best team on the ice.

Murray is also not a fan of rookies. No way does Schenn replace Handzus with Murray. He's a little more comfortable with Lewis since he's shown that he can play defense. Schenn was not a popular player with Murray on the defensive side.

You guys really think you can take a player from Juniors right into the NHL playoffs? Schenn needs another training camp and a lot of regular season games to get prepared. Schenn isn't even a lock for the NHL next year. He may end up in Manchester with Loktionov in LA.
Harrold would have been claimed, absolutely. He has added value that he can play both D and F, adequately enough to eat up minutes.

As far as taking a player from juniors and jump right into the NHL playoffs, well, PK Subban says hello, and do we think Subban is better than Schenn? Subban also did it in a position that is much harder to learn....so yea, I think some players can do it.

Actually, Subban played in the AHL last year before being called up to the NHL

The division was gone when the Kings lost to Vancouver, let it go.

The one area I really want to see Schenn in LA for is our PP. Schenn has the passing skills and creativity to be effective and LA really has no one who can back off defenders right now. Stick him on the fouth line move everyone else up and slot him into the PP when needed.

What the **** did the refs do in this game..idiots someone could get a real injury due to their decision to let everything go. I did not like it at all and I'm not pleased with the let go mentality. Morrons

Ribeiro is a classy player

Gotta cut the Stars fans some slack considering their season is drawing to a close most likely. Funny thing is the Stars fans when they lose are still better to deal with than Canucks fans even when Vancouver wins.

On another note, you guys saying you are not going to root for the Ducks today are nuts. The Kings need to get in, and if it means it takes the Ducks to win an otherwise meaningless game to us then so be it. i can't believe I am going to say it, but here goes: GO DUCKS!

Excuse me while I go take a shower now.

Elias sports bureau comes through again with obscure game notes. This was the fiirst time in Kings history that neither team had any power play time in a game.

Didn't Bob and Jim note that the record only goes back to 1990 though?

Kopitar has passing skills and creativity Didn't do much for our PP on the half-boards feeding it to the point so Doughty can snipe shins though

It's interesting to read that note about Lombardi telling Schenn he is coming up when his season is done.

I don't think it'll happen simply because Schenn's team will go far, but as I said before there is no harm is bringing him for playoffs games where the experience is going to teach him far than anything else will. It'll be great for his development and it seems as though management thinks so too.

Probably not but isn't it worth a shot?

Nobody has any idea how this kid will respond to a situation like this, but I'd sure like to see.

And I agree with everyone who's saying Richardson has earned a bigger role and more ice time with this team.
