So today's win accomplishes virtually nothing in terms of separation in the standings. Buffalo passes us again, the the Canes are withing 1 game striking range again.

The Rangers control their own destiny. If they win the rest of their games, they are in the playoffs. This result makes it more difficult, but they don't need any help from other teams to get in if they take care of business.

With that being said, I'm very upset that this game is in overtime.

Today's win made sure that we weren't sitting in 9th at the end of play. Making sure we keep winning and keeping pace with the teams around us was always the best we could hope for.
