DVR? I rarely watch a game live from the very start. No need to watch an hour of commercials.

A single point for Rangers would put them safe I reckon. Would leave it with Rangers on 90, Carolina on 87 and Buffalo on 90. Carolina have to play Detroit, Tampa and Atlanta. Can only see them getting one win out of three there.

?

Tampa has been playing like ass. I see at least 4 points out of 6 and Detroit is locked in at #2 or #3 at worst. Carolina seems to always squeak in at the last minute. I'm worried they run the table here.

are you kidding? Detroit is easing up. Atlanta have given up. Tampa know who their 1st round opp is and will be resting up.

plus Carolina can't stop winning.

I think we're gonna need 4-5 pts to stay in 8th

Am I the only one who doesn't find these games boring? A higher score doesn't automatically mean it's a more entertaining game...

Atlanta will not have Enstrom for Thursday's game

Win tonight. Pray the Wings take out Carolina. Rangers can clinch on Thursday against Atlanta without their best player.

I think 2-1 the rest of the way gives us a 99% shot of getting in.

go 1-2 and our odds drop to more like 30%.

That alone makes this a huge game because if we lose in regulation, we're going to want to have to win out.

Unfortunately its not a cap issue with him anymore it's a "What does he do besides FO and sometimes PK" issue.

In the shape we're in right now every game we've played this year has been the biggest game of the year lol. Need another win.

You don't think TB would want game 7 against Pitt in TB. TB has won 5 straight games after slumping and losing their hold on the division.

Detroit is easing up? Did you see their game on Saturday against Nashville? Down 3-0 in the 2nd period. Babcock called timeout and ripped every player the team. They won the game 4-3 in OT.

Just to put it in perspective.. IF we lose tonight, we need help to make the playoffs, which is crazy considering we haven't been out of playoff potision since October

Not necessarily safe...but we'd still control our own destiny. Worst case (assuming 1 point tonight) we still have to beat Atlanta and New Jersey. Ideally we'd get 2 points and Detroit beats Carolina on Wednesday making us need 1 point from clinching. So yeah, getting at least 1 point is HUGE tonight.

a small sick piece of me wants it to go to the last game just so we can beat the devils and rub it in their fans' faces.

a bigger part of me just wants to get it done by then

The hockey fan in me wants this.... the Ranger fan is very wary of such a fate... although I will not be surprised

NO part of me wants that game to matter 1 bit. in a perfect world we would already be in and could give Hank a day off. Perhaps Staal too. Unfortunately with those back to back losses vs. Buffalo and the Isles that dream is pretty much dead.

Did that small sick piece of you happen to watch the Islander game last Thursday along with the rest of you? You should tell that small sick piece of you to ****! In fact have it surgically removed if possible. It's not healthy to to have demon voices in your head.
