Senators re-assign Benoit and Wiercioch to Binghamton

Bulletin: Senators re-assign Benoit ...nghamton (AHL)

Good for Bingo fans...Wiercioch actually played better in the NHL than the AHL

I think they are referring to the fact that when Bruce Lee, I mean Brian, went down to the AHL after his super stint with the O-Sens he apparently sulked and sucked, and now that he's up here he's been our best overall defenseman. Since Wisecouch is also pretty horrific in the A and pretty decent in the N, I think that he is trying to create an allusion between the two.

That, and the fact that the only thing getting them laid is their NHL contracts.

Wiercioch's last NHL game against Toronto was pretty impressive.

We'll recall two defencemen before the game on Tuesday unless Karlsson is ready. My guess is Wiercioch and Derek Smith.

Karlsson is not ready, and I think it will be Wiercioch and Benoit called up along with Greening to replace Svatos.

Weircocher made some beauty passes last game I saw to spring guys into the O zone, once he gets his legs under him he's going to be so good. A big time thinker on D, doesn't play with the instincts karlsson does, but he's shown us he can make passes through the neutral zone that are just deadly good.

Excellent. The Sens brass is doing all they can (within reason) to ensure that we lose our last three games. These could be the most significant games in franchise history. For all we know, the guy the Sens are targeting at the draft could be the next Joe Sakic/Ray Bourque.
