Stanley Cup Winner Prediction...

Who wins the Cup this year?

IMO: Flyers... they're just too strong and skilled and they will be hungry this year.

Underdog? Tampa.

If Vancouver plays Chicago in round 1, Vancouver will be knocked out early.

So in that case, I'd go with Detroit vs Boston/Philly

Detroit wins it all.

I like the Sabres and Rangers play of late so I will root for them in the east. Nashville will be my underdogs in the west. Nucks all the way though.

Best goalie come-back of the year award has to be a tie with Emery, Montoya, and Roloson though. Roloson gets my pick. I mean what team rolls into the playoffs with a 41 year old goaltender not named Hasek?

Same...I'm not sure "comeback" would be the best term to use though, since he's had 3 pretty solid seasons in a row now. He's inspired me in a lot of ways, but mainly b/c of the way he's always dealt with and persevered through adversity with a strong work ethic and positive attitude. I'm from Vancouver and am a Canucks fan, but will also be closely following Roli and TB in the playoffs (I'm also a die-hard Roli fan). I would love nothing more than to see Roli lift the Cup.

I'm particularly happy for Montoya, it's pretty funny how so many people wrote him off when he hadn't even been given the chance. I mean his NHL #'s had been pretty damn good even though it was a small sample size. Goalies take longer to develop and he is just 26 now, around the same time Hasek made it to the NHL. Plus he's Cuban and I have to support the only Cuban in not just the NHL but hockey ever
