A change with Ottawa. Roman Wick and not Colin Greening has been recalled for this game. Moves confirmed in the last few minutes...

Quote:
The Ottawa Senators have recalled defencemen Andre Benoit and Patrick Wiercioch, and forward Roman Wick from the club's American Hockey League affiliate, the Binghamton Senators.

They'll play in Tuesday's game in Ottawa against the Flyers.

Quote:
Meanwhile, Craig Anderson will get the start in goal.

This is first of Ottawa's final three games of the season. They host Montreal on Thursday and finish in Boston on Saturday.

Coach Cory Clouston said there's a good possibility that Colin Greening will be recalled in place of Wick for the final two games.

The team wanted to give Greening a rest after playing in Binghamton on the weekend, which is why Wick was recalled for this game.

Flyers haven't had too much success in Ottawa lately. Who knows, maybe Holmstrom will give this team some energy. Zherdev appearing in his third straight game, do we still see some production from him or is this about the time when he disappears?

From Tim P.'s article...quotes regarding the PP inefficiency:

Quote:
“We continue to work on it,” Laviolette said. “We feel we have the right people out there. Skill people. The power play can be better. We’ll certainly be counting on that when playoffs rolls around.” … Kimmo Timonen said the Flyers are trying to be too cute and fancy right now on the power play. Perhaps because Chris Pronger isn’t around. “I don’t disagree with that [being fancy] and get more inside the paint,” Laviolette said. “Just bringing the puck to the net. [Scott Hartnell’s] goal in Pittsburgh is a perfect example. Send it low and just slam it at the net. And if that doesn’t go in, maybe it kicks out to the guy coming in from the back door.”

Holmstrom has been creating offense on the phantoms. I guess they wanna see if he can do it at the NHL level. Excited to see how he plays.

Oh and not that I dont believe you MSE, but whos twitter or website did you see the lines on? I just wanted to read it also lol.

It was at the bottom of Tim P.'s story regarding Zherdev.

Loose pucks
Bobrovsky will start in net Tuesday in Ottawa. ... Neither Danny Briere (sore groin) nor Blair Betts (left knee) made the trip to Ottawa. … Lines from Monday’s practice are expected tonight: Ben Holmstrom centering Scott Hartnell and Kris Versteeg; Claude Giroux centering Zherdev and Carter; Mike Richards centering James van Riesmdyk and Ville Leino; Darroll Powe centering Nodl and Dan Carcillo. … The Flyers are 10-8-6 since Versteeg arrived. They are 1-3-1 when he scores a goal. … In the last 11 games, the Flyers have had seven one-goal losses. You think the power play (2-for-last-19 over that span) could have made a difference? You bet it could.

I only keep on bottle of liquor in my house, a 5th of Johnny Walker Blue, last opened when the Phillies won the world series. Hoping to sample it again in June.

Awesome, Holmstrom is playing and it looks like Zherdev has impressed Lavy once again.

I want to see this Holmstrom line, and that 4th line could be interesting as well.

Holmstrom brings a lot of jam to his game. Some of the guys could learn from the rookie.
Let's win the division tonight boys.

I posted the link in the Zherdev thread but a note should have been included for this part of the article as well.
