Washington Capitals (46-22-11)
Toronto Maple Leafs (37-32-10)
Ovechkin gets his 300th career goal, an overtime game winner into an empty net, and (finally) ties Crosby in goals on the season. The main boards implode.
Hoping for a solid game tonight, though we still have the same recent blue line abscences and no Semin tonight. Semin I can live without, another Sloan/Collins pairing may be pushing our luck though.
The way I see it, the Caps have 0 excuse to drop any of these last three games, especially if Green comes back for the Panthers home and home.

Erskine/Collins, according to the Twitterverse. Sloan's a scratch.

Just got my twitter to load here at work. ****ing AT&T. Sounds like a slap in the face for TFS. Can't imagine he's happy about getting sat for a guy that has 1 NHL game in the last two years.
Sadly, Collins/Erskine is a more solid pairing simply by lack of Sloan.
Boudreau has specified that Semin's injury is playable were this the playoffs. Maintenance day for Sasha I guess.

What Boudreau should've probably also specified is that they would lie about it were this the playoffs, too. I have a feeling it's worse than they're admitting to. We'll see, I guess.

oh...prnbably broke something on that slash that didnt happen. if he's damaged and can't score, i dont want him to play. i dont want to hear all the poo that will come with him being injured and ineffective.

Unless you... you know... watched the past two playoffs.
This season is a massive improvement over the last two defensively, and while last year especially was awful - sitting here and ignoring his growth as a player isn't going to make us feel any better about this years playoffs.
Believe me, I was swearing at my TV just as much as you were - but knowing that Green is likely not going anywhere, I feel the need to accept his improvements as defenseman instead of spouting hate at every opportunity. He's far from a liability these days.

So the Green hate is unwarranted because you think he might get better some day?

Got it.
Is there a reason you're getting ****** with me? Green is far from the liability he was over the last few seasons. That's merely an opinion. You're acting like I said TFS deserves a Norris nomination.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with treating TFS like the awful, awful hockey player that he is. At least Semin and Green clearly have redeeming qualities.
