That was a pretty ****** boxing fight. And Lucic was not good at all other than his strength in the boxing fight. Good thing he stuck to Hockey lol...

In the end he got what he deserved too.

Lesson learned.

Lesson learned...the only way to get Phaneuf to back anything up is to challenge him 30 times, listen to him say no 30 times, finally turn and challenge again, drop the gloves, have him reject, let the ref get in the way, say no you're going, take your helmet off, let him keep his on visor included and then maybe he'll go, although if you get the take down, he'll probably take an extra shot at you anyways.

lesson learned.

Are you kidding?
His hand speed was impressive. Not sure why you think his strength was impressive? He backed off and counter punched for the entire fight.

Seen clearly here with him fighting a fighter.

Fantastic fight on both ends. Props to Lucic for going with Rosehill even though he is a scrub.

Well I think it was clear that Phaneuf didn't want blood on his hands...or jersey...or the ice...so he tried to give Horton plenty of chances to avoid getting beaten on. Unfortunately, Horton isn't a quick learner.

horton was expecting 3 or 4 of his linemates to jump in and help him win the fight.

Probably not the case since he knows Horton is the better fighter. That's why he didn't take his visor off.

They've gone before. Horton won pretty easily, although it wasn't much of a fight.

Only a Bruins fan would call this winning a fight pretty easily. I guess you could say Laraque beat Chara pretty easily then.

He landed the only punches and got the takedown.

Like I said, not much of a fight though.

Landed the only punches? Apparently you missed the jab at the end

Switch Phaneuf with Horton and Edwards would have freaked out and probably started to run down to the ice to aide Horton. Guy is more of a joke than that "fight" Wrestle, take down. If you want a winner, it's Horton since he did get the take down, but still doesn't mean anything.

The only point I was trying to make was to ridicule those who were saying "horton was expecting 3 or 4 of his linemates to jump in and help him win the fight." or "Well I think it was clear that Phaneuf didn't want blood on his hands...or jersey...or the ice...so he tried to give Horton plenty of chances to avoid getting beaten on. Unfortunately, Horton isn't a quick learner."

Point is, they've gone before, and Horton won. Although, for the third time, it wasn't much of a fight. Horton certainly doesn't need any help fighting his own battles, and he certainly had no reason to fear dropping the mitts with Phaneuf given their recent history.

Lucic looked like a clown doing his boxer stance. Am I the only one who thought so?

Hell of a fight with no winner. Lots of big bombs just missing the target otherwise this could have been quite messy. Not sure what Lucic was doing fighting a guy like Rosehill, but it was entertaining.

I was pretty surprised when they dropped the gloves. I didn't really see anything in the game that lead to it. I enjoyed it nonetheless.

He certainly didn't look like the better fighter here. Looks like DP held his own quite easily. Horton is no tough guy either.

Horton isn't a fighter, but he definitely is tough. He lost that fight, but it wasn't that Phaneuf destroyed him. He landed head first onto the ice and bled. No big shots were landed by either. Saying that Phaneuf won easily or that Horton isn't tough just shows your bias.
