he said he WANTED to play.

but nonis is a burke lackey, so he might screw spezza for the lulz.

heck, he might screw the entire team canada just for burke.

Spezza will be going unless Nonis is corrupt

Where is this hearing coming from? Don't expect it the only rumours so far have been Hitchcock and McGuire. Still hoping for Fenton with Brian in an advisory role (IE: Bowman not Quinn)

They were talking about this in a way on Primetime sports and whether Nonis even has an out clause with the Leafs. Kypreos thinks that hes getting paid pretty well so he will remain with the leafs.

shame that regin will miss the WC. Denmark's in a group with finland, czech, and latvia, so they have a chance at not being in the relegation round if they beat latvia.

anyways:
Russia: Gonchar (doubtful)
Canada: Spezza (confirmed), Phillips (doubtful)
Switzerland: Wick
France: Da Costa
Sweden: Alfie (doubtful), Karlsson (if healthy), Rundblad (50/50), Silfverberg (20/80)
USA: Anderson (declined-baby) , Butler (20/80), Shannon (confirmed)
Latvia: Daugavins
Czech Rep: Michalek, Kuba

I believe Anderson has said he won't be playing. I think his wife is pregnant.

He was interviewed a week or so ago, and mentioned that he would be playing.

Anderson already said he wasn't going this year

If they don't take Spezza, they're idiots.

man we really need Cam Ward to agree to go

If we get

Spezza
Staal

down the middle and possibly Richards (though he is a UFA and might not want to go due to risk)

and Ward in nets then Canada has a solid chance

wow, surprising to me on shannon. I dont see what he brings, he's an average player. They usually load up on established stars and younger guys who have a future with the national team (olympics).

I doubt that. Shannon is a lot better than Butler right now.
