If we loose tonight...

...would you push the panic button?

Quite frankly, I'm starting to worry a bit.

if we lose* tonight..

And yes, if we lose in regulation I would definitely push the panic button. They need 2 points, play and simple, hell even a point would do

Zad, I think you understand what it means to this team being without Kopitar. Dallas has 3 easy games left, we have 3 tough ones. Loosing all of them is a possibility.

So is winning all of them. I don't dwell on possibilities. I attend the games, cheer like a mad man and let the team do the rest.

The title drew me into this thread. Love it.

We should be fine. Not worried about making the playoffs. Of course there is adversity but that is an opportunity for someone to step up. Many teams go through something like this around the playoffs. and it's up to the players.

Brown has been playing well as of late over the last 10 games or so. I think two games against the quacks will make this an interesting and fun close to the season.

It seems a bit asinine to go for the almighty panic button at Game 79 or 80. Little can, will, or should be altered before the Big Show.

I'll probably completely loose it if we loose tonight. But if we win, well, that'd be tight.

Zad, I'm italian and I woke up at 4:30 am to watch home games on a freaking stream, I try to come to LA every year to watch the Kings, I love this team.

I didn't want to sound as Debbie Downer, I'm nost just as confident as you are, that's it. Not now at least.

It would take Dallas winning all their games.
The Kings losing all their games in regulation.
Chicago winning 2 out of 3.

I am optimistic one of these won't happen.

If the Kings miss the playoffs it would mean they lost 5 of their last 6 and probably don't deserve to be in anyways.

This says it all.

Predators 99.7
Coyotes 99.1
Kings 98.9
Ducks 82.4
Blackhawks 79.8
Stars 37.4

If Kings lose in regulation:

Predators same
Coyotes In
Kings 97.0
Ducks 82.3
Blackhawks 80.2
Stars 38.1

So still no panic mode.

TM has stated that he would like to earn a win to clinch a spot.
The players know if they win they are in.
They are playing at home.
They are coming off an embarrassing loss.
This team has veterans.
Quick gets a chance to bounce back after a tough game

If they don't win I seriously see them missing the playoffs. And sadly we don't even have a first round pick as consolation.

Albi,

I think you don't quite understand, why they are joking from your title.

Your title practically said that if we become to relax tonight (I said it in a nice way, you can understand this "relax" in more dirty way) we should hit panic button.

Because there is big difference in meaning of the word "loose" and "lose".

But everybody understand, what you wanted to tell...

all a loss does is mean the Kings wont get home ice advantage. Need to win to get that 4th spot.

A loss wont drop the Kings out, even if Dallas wins out to catch us, Chicago wont

Panic? lol.

Seriously, panic about what? Not making the playoffs? Because that's the jist I got from your post. Not only do we have to lose every game, but Dallas has to win every game. Even then, two more teams have to pass us in the standings as well. Could we miss the playoffs? Certainly, but the odds are heavily against it and the team, aside from the other night against San Jose, have played great down the stretch, even without Williams and Kopitar. Aren't we like 20-5-5 in our last 30 games? I'm not worried at all about the team, but man this fanbase can be easily scared at times.

Nothings changed from the start of the season; get into the playoffs, win a round and build for next year when our real cup push should begin. It's harder now without Kopitar and possibly Williams, but the goal's still the same and we should be looking at that, not panicking that we fold like a cheap tent while Dallas rattles off three wins in a row and blows our doors off.

Have some faith, this team has earned at least that much.

About what? Making the playoffs? We'll definitely make the playoffs. It's just a matter of who we end up facing. I like the Nashville scenario more than the others.

Folks, it's just my opinion. I simply think that without Kopitar we are totally screwed and I'll be VERY surprised to see us advance past the 1st round. Just my .2.

If we get Nashville, I'll be VERY surprised to see us NOT ADVANCE past the 1st round.

Win and you're in it's as simple as that. For some strange reason, I am expecting a 3 point game tonight.
