Not only that, he flies down to Phoenix tonight and he'll be with the big club at practice on Monday per his podcast interview. That's probably the sticking point with Buffalo -- I can't see Regier and Ruff offering to have him practicing with the team or even in games this week.

Brian Gibbons from BC is off to the Pens. Another tiny, high-motor kid -- was at the Pittsburgh Dev camp previously.

Bye bye Jakaitis.

Jakaitis has not been good. We can only hope Muse can channel some of his BC mojo when playing behind the Pirates D rather than behind the Eagles crew.

Wonder what impact bringing in Muse has on whether Eidsness gets signed in the offseason, assuming they keep Leggio around another year.

That depends. It's only an ATO. If he's stellar, great. If he sucks, they can cut ties quicker and perhaps look at Eidsness or someone else.

Not like they signed him to a multimillion dollar one way deal. If he's in the minors, Miele will get $67,500 a year. If he sticks in the NHL, Miele will get a little less than what Phoenix is paying Jason LaBarbera.

One downside to my trip is going to be missing out on the Frozen Four.

Calle Ridderwall - W, shoots L, 6'/190 lbs, Notre Dame, Sr., http://www.eliteprospects.com/player...r=4554&lang=en
http://www.und.com/sports/m-hockey/m...l_calle00.html
NYI Dev Camp in '09, cousin is/was in the Isles system

I'd be curious to see him, but outside of that... I don't see a lot of potential signings.

Swiss winger Alain Berger from the Gens is also another kid who interests me right now. Pro sized at 6'4", hurt his draft stock by breaking his ankle in the WJC's last year... tearing it up this year for the Gens. It probably depends more on if they want to bring Whitmore back (I think they should as he's grown and is a Portland guy now) or McCauley too.

We should sign Swiss goalie Leonardo Genoni.

He has really good stats in the NLA (top Swiss league) and had a great game against Canada today in the WC's. Could be an NHL starter some day, IMO.

With the recent signing of Muse, I doubt we would sign another tender. Plus Eidsness will likely be making a run at the Pirates backup job next year. I just don't see it.

He has an ATO. Still don't think we'd sign another goalie.

They already released him. Besides, ATOs don't count beyond this season.

I wouldn't say that he's starter material just yet, but he looked good.

Like I said in the WC thread, he reminds me a lot of Enroth.
Genoni's rebound control may be a bit better though.

^Hey, I gotta agree with you about Genoni's equipment. He would be worth signing for his fashion sense alone, haha.

Haha, well it's just Davos' colors, so I'm sure he'd change them if he signed in North America.

For anyone wondering what we're talking about:
