We need to them know by April 8th to get a 10% discount on this season's playoffs...otherwise the deadline is May 13th for no discount. I'll probably wait until May to decide. The 10% discount on a few games is really not a big deal.
I thought it was March 24th or something like that for the 10 percent and April 8th to renew for something stupid like a stay at Foxwoods.

Pretty sure that's for playoff tickets. They do give you until after the season to renew your regular season subscription. So nice of them. lol

It was March 24th to order your playoff tickets and April 8th to renew early bird for next year. If you did the early bird, you don't get your card charged yet, but you do get the 10 percent playoff rebate, over night stay at foxwoods, etc.

Whats going to happen to Season Ticket sales when we miss the playoffs, combined with such a huge increase?

Probably a good number of non-renewals. Although with nearly the entire lower bowl being club seating I'm sure most of them will be bought up by companies as the economy continues to improve.

Cheapest ticket for the first round individually per Ticketmaster is 90.20 including fees. Not as bad as I thought it would be to be honest, thought it would be north of 100. Base ticket price is 79.50 which means STH's in the 400's save 11.50 over individual price (not including the 10 percent discount some people got.)

Was there a presale that started today for season ticket holders only? I went online yesterday to see if there was an onsale date and it said presale starting this morning at 10am. I called the Rangers ticket people and they said it was only for those who had seasons and I went online and you did need a password. Just wondering if it was really only for people with tickets already...

If so, I get the trying to keep fans happy, but those of us that can't make season tickets work (I live in CT, can't go to every game and ate a bunch last year cause I was living in Buffalo so I didn't renew) are going to have to pick up seats on the resale market? Ugh... I'm not happy about this.

Yeah... I actually was able to guess it. Ha ha ha... Only single seats available for the first 2 rounds. I'm hoping that maybe they held some back. I was able to snag a pair to a potential game 6 in the first round before I came on here complaining. Ha. I just don't like the idea of how they did it...

I was in contact with my rep for the past 2 weeks about adding playoff seats and he called me yesterday and I was able to snag 4 more in section 313 on the Aisle. Apparently Saturday was the last day for STH,s to purchase playoff seats. Unless someone has a financial hardship, or other personal issue I can,t see buying season tickets and not purchasing playoff tickets. I am always reminded of this as I have Football Giants season tickets and the guy that has 2 next to me and has not missed more than about 10 games in the past 35 years was shut out of the playoffs in 2000 when the Giants beat the Eagles and the Vikings because he was going through a divorce and his wife got the invoice in the mail and sent it back saying he was not interested.

From an email i got 4 days ago.
As part of our Rangers Account Manager services, you will have access to TicketForwarding and MSG TicketExchange for the 2011 Playoffs. TicketForwarding will be effective beginning on Wednesday, April 6th as will your ability to Print Your Own Tickets at home feature. MSG TicketExchange, the service allowing you to post tickets for resale, will be in effect on Tuesday, April 12th. Complete information will be provided once Playoff schedules are released.

That is at the $59 ticket rate. Not sure that's right. But if it is, if someone wants to buy my 4 season tickets from me, I am sure we can arrange a deal......

I emailed my rep today asking about the seats in 111. Her response:

Hi Matt,

Thank you for your email. Next season you will be in the upgraded seats for the first half of the season, until around January. After January you will be moved back to a similar location and sightline to your current location for the remainder of the season and playoffs.

The upgraded seats are only temporary seats that will be removed after the 2011-2012 season. If you have any other questions let me know.

Go Rangers!
Kristi

So some of these sections down low are only temporary without a clear timetable for return back to the 300 levels or a definite section to be moving back to.....

Last I checked earlier there were seats left but they were singles scattered throughout the building. Someone I know was able to snag a pair in 411 for game 4 (home game 2) in the first round.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know the prices for Knick STH's for the playoffs? Would like to see how they're priced compared to the Rangers.

My section 338 knick first round playoff tix are $82 each (with the same 10% rebate incentive). My section 338 rangers first rounds are $92 each.

They are both $56 this season. Next season, the 338s will be $63 for the knicks and $59 for the rangers.

Hope this helps.

Another presale for the playoffs if anyone cares begins at 12 for people that subscribe to the mobile alerts. Code is TIXMOBILE.

Also a Facebook presale that just started too. Code is NYRBOOK.

NYRBLUE as well

I got two tickets to first round games 4 and 6 today. Hoping I can get out of work, otherwise I might have some to sell.

You got a pair for each game or a single seat?
