Won't reach Stanley Cup playoffs:
Karlsson Calgary Flames NHL 16 2.55 .906
Hedberg New Jersey Devils 31 2.34 .913
Gustavsson Toronto Maple Leafs 23 3.29 .890
Meets better teams in first round of Stanley Cup:
Lundqvist New York Rangers 57 2.34 .921
Lindbäck Nashville Predators 21 2.58 .914
Enroth Buffalo Sabres 8 2.78 .906
In case of catastrophy: AHL goalies
Eddie Läck Manitoba Moose 43 2.09 .927
Robin Lehner Binghamton Senators 18 2.81 .908
Gustaf Wesslau Springfield Falcons 29 3.11 .900
Johan Backlund Adirondack Phantoms 27 3.38 .886
Remove a handful of players at each position of your own liking! Players in bold are available before first round of Stanley Cup starts. As it looks right now.
There is NO goalie crisis! In case of catastrophy: AHL goalies
Eddie Läck Manitoba Moose 43 2.09 .927
In my opinion Läck actually could be a interesting option. Henrik Karlsson from Calgary is another possible goalie. I prefer Anders Nilsson over Mark Owuya, I am no goalie expert, but he has looked awesome in the playoffs.
This lineup consists of players who atm will not be in the playoffs. This is the team that i would like to see as a worst case scenario. We will see how the first round goes before adding anyone to the team.

He has carried Manitoba Moose this season, he would be no long shot. But then again, there are a lot of good goalies around.
That never happened as far as I know, but a guy can dream
Imagine the speed of those forwards Steen, Paajarvi, Josefsson, Tedenby, Stalberg etc......jeeez
I don't think Mårts will be all too high to pick NHLers to play lower line duties. It would probably be even more embarrassing with even more nos that way
Looks like there will a whole lot of no's this time around too. Team Sweden will seriously need some NHL-players to be able compete in this tournament.
It will be good fun to see the young kids play, but when not even the quality euro-veterans (like Weinhandl and Magnus Johansson) that usually glues the team together will come this year, the roster looks mighty thin. In todays win against Germany the team played awful, I realize that there will be very few guys that will earn a spot in WC, from todays roster, but still.... You can't really call that a "Tre kronor"-team, they where horrible. Ok it was a young team (12 player born 1988 or later) and they had a bad game and so on, but well still there needs to be some kind of minimum standard for the national team.
Hopefully we will start getting some positive news at some point otherwise this WC could be a painful experience.
Reading the list of players that has allready turned this team down, makes me pessimistic about what kind of team that could be put together.
Assuming Omark and Backlund will be sent to the bleeding AHL-playoffs :/, and that there will be a whole lot of no's:
Centers:
Patrik Berglund
Niklas Persson
Jacob Josefson
Mathias Sjögren
Wingers:
Alex Steen
Robert Nilsson
Dick Axelsson
Jonas Andersson
Mathias Tedenby
Magnus Pääjärvi
Martin Thörnberg
Joakim Lindström
D-men:
Erik Karlsson
Carl Gunnarsson
David Petrasek
Matthias Ekholm
?
?
?
Goalies:
Erik Ersberg
Viktor Fasth
Henrik Karlsson
I just couldn't figure out what d-men to put in the lineup. Hopefully there will be some more d-men from NHL, but they probably turs down the offer. Fernholm is not a good option, Staffan Kronwall looks completely out of shape, Sebastian Erixon and Magnus Johansson are injured, the Skellefteå youngsters are good but have looked a bit too shaky in the playoffs for my taste. Ekholm looks out of shape too, but meh you got to pick someone.
From what i've read Berglund and Steen are longshots too, but well Sweden got to send some kind of team to this tournament, hopefully they show up. Otherwise im hoping that the old wjc-crew still got some loyalty to Mårts.
Meh. They've done well with almost no NHLers before.
Usually there is a couple of good players with a lot of routine from the european leagues that act as a backbone for the team, flavoured with some NHL-guys, and some up and coming youngsters. This time around really few of theese euro-star guys will show up.
Some examples:
Johan Davidsson is perhaps past his prime and will turn down the offer anyway
Tony Mårtensson is out of shape and has said no
Magnus Johansson is injured
Stefan Liv has said no
Matthias Weinhandl doesn't seem to be able to come
When not even theese kind of guys shows up, and the NHL-teams rather have their players playing in the AHL-playoffs than in the WC, things look a bit bleaker than usual.
Sweden will probably have a young and fun team, but kind of lack the core of players with routine and documented good european class that usually are on the team. Hopefully that doesn't matter at all, but the awful game against Germany got me thinking...
Ah well, I just think it's boring if it's Swedens c-team or d-team that shows up at the WC.
Goalies:
Erik Ersberg
Viktor Fasth
Henrik Karlsson

It's is hard to say YES to the national team this time of the year because that may be a symbol for non-comittment to the league team. I think many who have second thoughts about WC already has made it clear.
Before the catastroscope hits Tre Kronor (Team Suisse Cheese) all but a few of the following (more probable than not) players has to turn down an invitation: (I use your players as a starting point)
(That is all but the Sedins, Bäckström, a hardhitter and the Red Wings )
Enström (either him or Karlsson is a must, though) Hjalmarsson or Hedman (plays better team in first round) Oduya Rundblad (SEL)
Grossman
Öhlund
Ekman-Larsson
Adam "1" Larsson
Frögren
Goaltending:
Gustavsson
Lundqvist
Nilsson
Fasth
------------------
Lindbäck and Enroth (these two could be AHL heroes this spring, not sent down at all or lose out in the first round of AHL playoffs)
And...worse things have happened than if Bäckström, Zetterberg or the Sedins lose fast...
