Playoff tickets arrived today.

Compared to the last few years they went on the cheap as far as presentation. Four simple envelopes with 'Stanley cup playoffs Round One (Two, Three, Four) on a small sticky print out that looks like it was printed on my grandmother's injet printer. The tickets were pretty much like the ones you get at the box office for every game. Not that it matters that much, I love just going to the games, but certainly not what I am used to from the Pens.

Getting them though has really made me excited for the coming playoffs and how close they are. Any clue when game one will be yet?

How much is your average playoff ticket these days (especially @ CEC)? I haven't been to a playoff game since Ottawa ousted us.

Which level are your seats in, JF?

I'm full-season, lower bowl, and when mine arrived Tuesday, all of the tickets featured player photos on them. Everyone should feel free to speculate on what this means: Sid was the featured player for Game 1, Round 1.

I'm so jealous. I haven't been to a Pens game since 05-06, and that was an away game

I am in 105, Row T (about 20 or so rows from the ice, corner where they shoot twice). Really great seats, IMO better than those at ice level and among the best in the place for the view. Not the top of the line seats but up there in price. Maybe they made an error with mine and scrambled then. I knew they generally are better than that so good to hear mine were the exception.

For those that asked, mine are the same price as last years:

$135 per for round one.

$162 per for round two.

$194 per for round three.

$264 per for the finals.

Remember though those are season ticket holder prices. Face to the GP will be higher.

I haven't been to a playoff game since the 08 playoffs...Went to a game in every round (not a season ticket holder) including the final. Needless to say, I went broke. I didn't get to go to a playoff game in 09.

Yes, I am jealous as well.

Have fun at the games!

I agree. I'm on the other side of that endzone 109, Row Y. I'm one of the lucky ******** who has a private stairway splitting our section (there are steps that access only the final two rows of the section), so I never have to get up to let people in/out of my row.

And remember, TicketExchange doesn't allow STH to resell below gate price.

I've never been to a playoff game since I've only been in the area for two years or so and we don't seem to get many Saturday night home games. That's pretty much the only time I can go to a game.

Hoping we play the 14th and 16th.

ticketmaster.com was my friend yesterday. I usually just for fun try to get in at 10 am when they sell the measly 2,000 tickets to the general public but never any luck. However yesterday I lucked out and got 2 tickets to game 2. I live in Cleveland so I'm hoping game 2 is Saturday so I don't have to take off work.

I got two tickets for game 2 in the SRO only section (those of you who were helping me yesterday are already aware ).

I always thought it was lame that for individual tickets you only get the ticketmaster generic version. I wish they could offer cooler ones...

I wish I wasn't a poor college student and could actually afford going to a playoff game.

But alas, I will one day be at all the games.

I'm not going to lie, the greatest part about graduating and getting a job was the realization "holy crap I can go to every game now". If there's a better way to spend your money in this city I haven't found it.

On a similar note - tickets coming with a Casa D'Oro coupon? Who the hell do they think is sitting in the upper bowl?

...if I only graduated and got a job in Pittsburgh (or didn't have a bazillion dollars in student loans).

No I mean EVERY game. Like away games.
As in my goal and what I'm working towards is working for the Penguins.
I'm a communications/broadcasting major. :p

Good luck. That would be pretty awesome. Maybe you can help us get rid of Steigy

I got real lucky. Got two after trying to find four a couple times, never tried to get playoff tickets like that before so maybe they dont sell in groups of four.

Got two seats in one of the corner sections, where our two seats will be the only two in our row. Should make seeing the opposite corners really akward but we'll be pretty close to the ice and Im just happy to be going.

Did they say no return if Sid doesn't play?

Many of us in the lower bowl have thought the same thing.

Nice man - totally jealous! I'm gonna try to buy some tickets on StubHub if we make it past the 1st round.
